Ehmā€¦ Iā€™d like to validate this post by saying Iā€™m a 20-year-old healthy female not on birth control and without any infections/STDs. That having been saidā€¦ After reading some of the responses Iā€™d like to state that, respectfully, my vagina has never smelt ā€œsweet.ā€ Itā€™s not a bad smell at all, just a smell thatā€™s never been associated with ā€œsweet.ā€ Oceanic would be the closest? Slightly salty, slightly like tangerines (without sweetness to it) and a little muskyā€¦ It has a ā€œheavyā€ scent to it (not strongā€¦ I donā€™t know what better word to useā€¦) ---

Sweetie babies have peepies, you have a vagina. I would not describe it as butterscotch but then again people perceive smells differently. The smell of fresh bread your getting could be yeast though, either that or something in your diet. Generally the smell of a healthy vagina is musky, fresh and mildly sweet. Not sugar sweet more of a mild fruity sweet. With that being said until you can call it vagina donā€™t let anyone smell or taste it. I am not picking on you believe me I told my sons the same thing. If they are uncomfortable saying vagina or penis then they are not ready to bring them out to play. They learned to say it mighty quick LOL šŸ˜‰ Tisha ---

Well, Iā€™m certainly not an adult ^-^ I will always be _this_ Me, heehee! ^-^ I donā€™t think that being ready to be sexually active means that someone has to be ā€œmatureā€ enough in the typical way. I think that a person has to be ready for it emotionally and know what kinds of precautions to take ^-^ Also, they have to actually _want_ it, heehee ^-^ I think Iā€™ve been ready since I was 9 ^-^ Iā€™m actually not that interested in extra pheromones, oups :s I was looking up the butterscotch thingie in google search and found this thread. It was the most interesting result I got and the most relevant to my query, heehee ^-^ Also, itā€™s scientific! ^-^ The whole butterscotch/extremely sweet taste thing has baffled me ever since this one guy asked me to taste myself. I did and he said, ā€œWhatā€™s wrong? Too sweet?ā€. I thought, what the hell is he talking about?! I didnā€™t know that girl peepies are supposed to taste like simple syrup or caramel, heehee šŸ˜› It made me self - conscious, so itā€™s nice that Seridey is also young and healthy and has a normal scent that isnā€™t necessarily sweet. Oceanic is a very good description _and_ itā€™s pretty. I still say that mine smells more like fresh, clean water than anything else, heehee! ^-^ I still want it to smell at least a little bit like butterscotch, though ^-^ Ouh! Or sweet cream! That would be nice, heehee! ^-^ ---

Back on topicā€¦ What nobody seems to have mentioned is how attractive a clean but post exercise vulva smells? Why wash away all those lovely natural aromas that hide in the folds of flesh fleshy labia minora/majora? As long as a vulva is lightly cleaned regularly, without harsh and harmful soaps, I donā€™t see a problem. The exquisite natural scent of an ovulating, or not, vagina/vulva is, to me, one of the greatest turn ons. The aromas I pick up are slightly acidic, slightly sweet(fruity), a touch astringent, even a hint of woodiness/musk almost like sandlewood. All the above seem to cause a marked reaction not only in my mind(imaginary?), heart rate/breathing but also penis before, during and after making love. For instance, if I get a whiff of my wifeā€™s knickers when doing the laundry I instantly get an erection and feel an extra strong twitching sensation followed by much lube from my Cowpers gland! A Fantastic feeling and absolutely no doubt about the result. The same thing occurs during foreplay and subsequent penetration. ---

As you mentioned back on topic ā€¦ Your not supposed to use soap in the vagina or between the labia. Its damaging to the mucosal lining. I think most women are taught to wash around the area with soap and then just use fresh clean water to wash the rest. If you really feel it needs a good cleaning for some reason then warm salt water should be used. No soap. Bad odors are caused by an over growth of bad bacteria. You need to find the cause of the bacteria over growth though. Sometimes its yeast and just taking acidophilus and avoiding sugar for a while. If its more of a vaginitis then taking femdophilus should rebalance the flora. Washing with soap will throw the balance of good flora off. Tisha ---
