# Could PUA's be charged with rape by deception ?

I have to disagree here, unless you mean a man bought a fake engagement ring to enter into a fake engagement. There is no crime inherent in presenting a cubic zirconia ring. It might be dishonest to tell a woman it’s a diamond when it’s not, but to imply giving one is a crime is a little much, imo.

I can say this with some personal familiarity… my family has been practicing law continuously in the United States since the Civil War… stories, advice, and insight into human nature get handed down from generation to generation… the legal system has many fine and devoted people working in it, on the other hand it has a profoundly corrupt side too.

I’ve heard more stories about crooked prosecutors, judges who lie somewhere between lazy and corrupt, lawyers who’ve been paid off to throw a case for an envelope of full of hundred dollar bills, sociopathic scammers who’ve figured out an angle… my dad’s advice in the face of this tide of festering sleaze was this: _the party with the most convincing documentation wins_… not the party in the right, not the party telling the truth, _but the party with the best evidence_. That’s why there are recording devices everywhere these days…
