# Covering: do you put cologne only where the pheromones aren't, instead of layering?

Is the proper way to cover to simply add your cologne to areas that you didn’t apply the [pheromones](https://a314.com/)? Basically, stay clear of layering?

Just asking in case the TUTH or IO have a unique smell that makes my wife question what I am wearing. I usually use Aqua Dgio.

Personally I don’t like applying colognes directly on the same spot as the pheromones out of concerns that it could adversely affect diffusion. Now keep in mind this is a personal concern and may not even be an issue but I like to err of the side of caution.

Now if your wife questions what you’re wearing simply tell her that you’ve developed an interest in colognes and are experimenting with new scents. You can order some sample sizes of various colognes on the cheap from some web sites. Google “cologne decants” and some stuff will come up. This way your wife will see such a variety of colognes in your bathroom or wherever that on any given day you having a slightly different scent won’t seem at all unusual.

like radman said better to be cautious but I always throw cologne on top of the mones cause my girl dont particularly like it. i have also had success in mixing the mones in the cologne itself, that way i can bring just one togo with me instead of several.
