Hi all,

Went to a party this weekend. I applied CTTM2 (1 spray to both wrists and 2 sprays on the chest), TUTHx2 (1 spray to the neck) and Pherlure (1 spray to the forehead).

I got to the party and one of the girls (caucasian about 22-23 y.o.) who normally complements me on non [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) parfumes told me that I don’t smell as good as I normally do after giving me a hug. I asked her to smell my forehead (Pherlure) and she said “yeah.. this one is allright but not the other one” (pointing to my neck/chest). I am not sure if did not like the smell of TUTH or CTTM. She did however spent some time talking to me and sitting right next to me on the couch.

I got some subtle IOIs from another girl (mid-eastern 22-23 y.o) and another one (latina same age).

I am not sure what to make of it. The ammount of pheros that I put on does not sound like OD levels. Any ideas?

I don’t think we should judge the effectiveness of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) based on how people react to the smell. Androstenone, found in TUTH, is known to have a distinctively foul smell. Women seem to be able to detect this more than us men do…I can’t smell it at all.

I had a ‘target’ back in the day that had a very accute sense of smell…she told me she was highly sensitive to the fragrances around her, but I had already picked up on this after a few nights out with her. She could obviously pick up the scent of androstenone, and quite bluntly told me that either I stink, or something around her stinks. As a result, I found myself toning down on androstenone around her…only to find that she seemed to react more positively to the higher none mixes. The results were still good, but that ‘umph’ factor was certainly missing.

To be completely honest with you, I am only using Pherlure because I like the smell of it. From my experience with, I am yet to have a “hit” that I can attribute to Pherlure. Perhaps my chemistry + Pherlure don’t work together. Your theory about the everchanging recipies and cheap pheros sounds quite believable as well.

The girl who told me that she did not like the smell of the other (non Pherlure) pheromones still spent sometime chatting with me as she usually does. So I don’t even think of this as a negative.

I think that you are correct that smell (good or bad) is not an indicator of effectiveness.

I agree that smell doesn’t equate with effectiveness. But if you want to cover 'none better, sandalwood might be a good scent to work with, as it has some scent similarities with male pheros in general and they work synergistically.

What about other colognes available in department stores such as CK One? Would that work at all? Or can some women still smell the 'none through it?

Also, where can I get this sandalwood scent?

Thanks!

There are a multitude of great fragrances for men with sandalwood notes, and I’m going to refer you to Basenotes, a men’s fragrance forum, to check them out. They have several threads devoted entirely to the best sandalwood scents!

CK One is very nice and does include sandalwood and cedar in the base, but it’s rather light. Depending on your own body chemistry it might cover well, or not. You’d have to try it.

Pure sandalwood essential oil is divine, but very expensive nowadays. Most fragrances rely on synthetic sandalwood aromachemicals, which will still blend well with 'none to some extent.

I agree about sandalwood being a good cover fragrance. I used it to cover EW when I was experimenting with that. EW is the horrid smelling product I’ve ever messed with, but sandalwood was able to sufficiently cover it. It actually helps to pre-mix sandalwood with the pheromone of choice, and allow it to sit and mix for a couple of days.

Just curious how that experimentation went? Also have you experimented with [Instant Sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/) (for women)?
I am looking to experiment with copulins (I bought a Instant Sexines TOGO), but still trying to figure out what to mix it with for best results. Any input would also be appreciated.

Thanks!

Here’s a thread about men using [Instant Sexiness](https://phera.com/product/instant-sexiness/):
