I recently got some really nice cologne and was thinking of making my own custom scent for a few mones I use. I was thinking of mixing it with unfragranced mones bc I also was looking to tone down the strength of the cologne. Also I read that you can get some of the instant line unfragranced. Does any body do that them selfs? Or any ideas you guy could come up with would be a big help. ---

I’ve been doing it since 2004 and it’s my preferred method. However it’s a good way to waste a lot of mones and cologne if you don’t nail it. No matter what you add, it will change the cologne scent. For my taste, a mix of 4 or 5 parts cologne to 1 part mone is the sweet spot: cologne scent is only mildly compromised and you can maintain a reasonable mone dose. Most commercially available mones are premixed and dosed, so they are poor candidates for homebrew mixes. Why? They are too diluted to recompose and end up ruining the scent of the cologne. So to have that 5 parts cologne to one part mone ratio you need to use chemset (highly concentrated raw mones). I can’t mention the abundant sources for chemset mones but a short google are be revealing (in alcohol carrier or dry form). Realize you have to buy in bulk so some outlay of cash is unavoidable. The only “over-the-counter” highly concentrated commercially available mone I can think of is NPA. It’s designed to be mixed 5 (cologne) to 1 (NPA). It’s still one of my favs after all these years. However, whatever brews you dream up, it’s best to first try them in tiny batches–e.g., 10 drops cologne, 1 drop anone, 1 drop A1, etc.–before stirring 100ml of precious joy juice in a flask. ---

The main reason I wanted to do this is to only smell like my cologne. Not to smell like the cologne, akuto, neroli, , ff21and ammo all at the same time for example. is wearing unscented putatives along with the cologne as a cover scent a good option in you opinion? ---

Not if your planning to mix the mones from here. They are really not designed for that. If you mix…lets say [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) or any other mix with your cologne you will dilute the strength down so much it will be ineffective. When you mix mones with cologne you need to use single putatives. You need to buy them in high concentrations 30 mcg or better so when you dilute them down its to the correct dosage level. This is why Gegogi mentioned you need a product like NPA, chem set mones or highly concentrated mones. Something to keep in mind with the mones here. The binder is in the scent package. So if you get unscented and your chosen cologne doesnt have binder scents in it your mones wont diffuse well. Tisha
