hello. today i finally got my package. i had to pay an extra 17 something $ to dhl for customs. does anyone know anything about how it works? do they choose random lots, by the weight, by the dimensions… this wasnt my biggest package, though its the first time i had to pay. also the courier gave me a fac-simile copy of customs papers, not signed and total bullshit to me. first thing next week, call dhl for explanations… ---

IME its usually any duty due plus a fixed “processing fee” that covers the removal and return of the package by Customs to the shipper - which can often amount to much more than the duty itself. Unlucky for being caught with DHL though - They are amongst the least likely to be hit of any shipper I’ve ever dealt with but I suppose it varies by country. ---

Same here. Last week I received another order and it has been the first one of the AD deliveries that has been ‘processed’ by customs, with an extra 22$ to pay. I hadn’t though of that before with the previous deliveries, but DHL is known in Spain as the “you will absolutely-for-sure be paying customs fees” courier. On top of that, one of the items I ordered was not what I was expecting… Puppy Love is available in the store scented for men and women, without any clear indication on the description, and since it’s not searchable (bug?) I followed a link from the forum which happened to be for the women scent version > ☹ Customs fees always remain a possibility for anyone ordering from abroad - So far I’ve only been hit once in several years of using DHL but the alternatives are not good - Fedex has the Customs and Excise processing contract in the UK and shipments using them are IME far more likely to be hit (like 3 out of 4!), whilst USPS is not only geologically slow, it remains the most likely to be hit of them all, with almost every package being processed - which utterly wipes out any advantage in using a cheaper shipper. So its a no-win whatever you do. ☹ What scent was your Puppy Love in? If its that much of a problem, Raising a support ticket ought to see it sorted. ---

thats kind of sad news. i believe they will make custom fees mandatory after this TTIP treat between ue and usa, as they will lower the prices. this so called treat is the worst thing ever imaginable under many social and life aspects…new world order in progress, lol. i was very interested in getting puppy love, but couldnt find a hint. i had to switch that intention with p91. could you post me the link, please? is that allowed? thank you peace ---

I don’t think it’s a problem to post a link to a product of AD, but in case it is any of the reading moderators, feel free to notice us and edit this post to remove them if required. I expected them to at least correct the product descriptions to point future buyers to the right product. Maybe this post will be of help to future buyers.
