> Do you think unscented p79 smells bad? Does it diffuse too much quickly and fade? How long does it last? Would scent cover help to diffuse it slower and/or further? If you use scented or oil based products over p79 would it have the same durability and diffusion than scented version? Thank you all wink

> [@p79: Scented or Unscented?](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/p79-scented-or-unscented/4075/5):
>
> I have unscented p79.
>
> What I normally do with unscented pheromones is just dab (spray) them on top of whatever cologne I’m using (usually oil based).
>
> They mix with the smells just fine that way, and don’t stink. That way they diffuse just fine. If I’m desperate for a cover scent I’ll use a tiny quantity of extra scent over the top, but not enough to bog down the molecules.
>
> I hope it’s not presumptuous for this newbie to go off on a bit of a rant here. People need to realize there’s a difference between a tiny amount of pheromones on your body smelling a little _musky_ (remember, _musky_ is reliably rated as human being’s favorite smell – that is a scientific fact) and STINKING.
>
> I mean, one or two dabs of Edge (supposedly the stinkiest pheromone product) spread with your fingers to multiple areas of your otherwise fine smelling body and allowed to dry down is not going to make you stink to the general public. You will smell better, especially if you use a bit of essential oil or other scent with it! Just don’t put it in your pits for pit bacteria to transform.
>
> It’s not about covering anything up. It’s about proportion and context.
>
> -Androstenol smells good on your body in reasonable amounts, not bad! So does Androstadienone. So does -Androsterone. Being able to detect a little bit of pheromone smell, if you use the right amounts, makes you smell better to the general public!
>
> Having said that, I am wrong as hell when it comes to using a ton of Edge or NPA like Gegogi does. In that case you need to pay close attention to the art of cover scenting.
>
> It is a scientific fact that ASS is one of our favorite smells if diluted enough! That is just the way nature works. What do you think makes jasmine, rose and neroli smell good? ASS! Yes, one of the major scent chemicals (the indole family) in these precious flowers, along with skatole (also used in perfume) is the same thing that makes poop smell like poop.
>
> Even to the persnickity Asian (Japanese, in particular) palette, -Androstenol should be perceived as a very pleasant smell in the proper context. Contrary to popular belief, the Japanese love their musk – in the proper context and proportions.
>
> So anyone feeling paranoid that pheromones can be smelled can just relax. They are _supposed_ to stink in concentrated form, and _supposed_ to smell great in proper dilution and combination on someones body. Musk (human or otherwise) and “B.O.” are two very different things. B.O. is a corrupted, polluted musk. A lot of what you are smelling in B.O. are toxins from certain strains of bacteria, or dead bacteria.
>
> Ask any perfumer: The most useful and delicious substances in perfuming are very, very, very often substances that smell like the north end of a southbound bull, when concentrated.
>
> I will go so far as to say that pheromones are more effective if they can be consciously smelled a little bit, even though they don’t need to be.

> This makes me chuckle… I’m not unemotional. I just don’t flame out.
>
> Beakers and labcoats… heh… I wish it were just that simple. I’ve learned a lot in this endeavor, I’m still learning, still researching, still developing, still stretching my mind to encompass as much real information that I can, to formulate a better picture of what is actually needed in this, and to produce something better.
>
> I won’t base what I’m doing on what some other company has formulated. My whole initial premise was that copulins, as produced by women, are unique to women in their ratios, in their cycle dependent consistency, in their concentration. And unlike pheromone molecules, concentration does matter very much, because these elements, the fatty acids, smell so very different depending on how much is there, and their ratios one to another. More is definitely not better, and there is a fine range of what smells good and what is horrendously gag inducing with regard to these elements.
>
> And others are working on analogs, working towards replicating the smells without resorting to what I’m doing (which is very much dependent on initial conditions). More power to them and I hope everyone working on this does well.
>
> But my project is attempting to recreate 100% natural copulins - to replicate what is produced naturally in women, to smell like clean, healthy, sexy women. Natural women’s smell is like a slice of heaven, and I don’t think we should have to put on something that makes us smell like an unwashed ass, or a cheese factory, or puke, or dog shit, or any of the other formulations that we’ve been asked to “work with.”

> Hi I have been feeling depressed lately, as some of you my friends will probably know from my long standing blogg. [https://pheromonetalk.com/t/ladies-a-lost-gentleman-needs-your-help/4552](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/ladies-a-lost-gentleman-needs-your-help/4552) I have been using 2 sprays of Instant shine, and find that it makes me feel happier but only for a short time. I dont know what else to use. So i was wondering if Any one else has used pheros for depression. What have you used and how. Any luck. If Jasmin or Mharris got any suggesstions. \*]Can any help me…

> There’s not so much in there that the perfume would smell gross, as anyone who owns it could attest. That’s not to say you’d like the perfume.
>
> I have more than ten years of experience working with musks, and know how to walk the line; to recognize the sweet spots with different substances.
>
> Some people have a sensitivity to civet, almost like an allergy. That’s what I’m talking about moreso than the smell. There wouldn’t have to be a smell for those people to have a reaction. You could be one of those people. If so, I’d stay away from it.
>
> But a little knowledge can be dangerous. For example a lot of people rave about how bad they hate patchouli, and yet the vast majority of those same people love perfumes that contain it, considering how many do. Patchouli is one of the most common fixatives. I think at one time most all perfumes contained civet as well, as a fixative. Even fake civet smells gross in raw form. The untrained nose usually can’t detect it. They extract it without killing the animal, BTW.
>
> But very few people really accept that the most aversive smells, in their proper context, are typically the most attractive and alluring. It’s ironic, and just hard to wrap your head around, unless you’ve experienced the effect a number ot times, in different ways.
>
> As a perfumer, the worse something stinks like ass or other bodily phenomena in its raw form, the more you will like it, as a general rule. You are going to use something at 1/1000 concentration, or something like that. Bodily smells are almost unfailingly rated as people’s favorites.
>
> The irony goes even deeper; in that, not only do people like those scents the best, they also characterize those scents as “fresh smelling”! Light musk is the smell of fresh laundry, for example, or of your significant other just out of the shower. When you smell “fresh” air out in the country, part of what makes the air smell fresh are the faint smells of skunks and other animals. Those smells are also what make you inhale more deeply, which is of course good for you.

Until now, if it smelled fresh or sweet or clean it would mean a higher dilution and lower concentration of active ingredients. Especially when all of us here are used to wearing multi-megahuman size doses.

But it does make a first class perfume.

If copulins or any analog were able to have the blatant head turning, DIHL that we have come to expect from our pheromones at low enough concentration to smell fresh or sweet or clean in the bottle, this would a historic event in both pheromone and perfume history.

Then again, this is Diane. Anything is possible.
