Did we get an upgrade? Is this Ver 3.6.6? I don’t remember seeing pictures and albums in my control panel. And how does that project thing in the control panel work? And check out the style settings in the lower left. Has that always been there (duuuh) or is that new? Jeez Someday i’ll learn to fly this thing and _then_ i’ll be dangerous! Wait a minute, what is this tag thing under this reply screen? BTW: the HTML tags are turned off now. I know i’ve asked before but, where is the users manual for this forum program? Is this an upgrade or am i just more confused than usual? OoohYahhh UuuhHuh PS I wish the search function would have been upgraded more than just add the tag search. ---

Yes there in the process of upgrading the forum a bit so you will see some new things popping up here and there. I am not sure what version it is though. We will all have to learn to use the new functions together 😃 Tisha ---

And I’m already missing my Buddy List…_sniff_. It was really nice to have the little box pop up to see who’s on line, rather than actually having to go to “Who’s on line”…to see which of your buddies is still logged on. Any chance for a comeback? ---

Or do we only get tags when we start a thread? It would get a lot more use if it was with all the posting screens. And what exactly is up with the contact/friend list? What’s the difference and what happens if someone is on your list. I was trying to find out.. As for the search engines, I haven’t needed an external SE, or a more powerful SE, and I haven’t noticed sigs getting in the way too much. Then again, I’m the type to sit there and search by post, then if it is a relevant post, I’ll read the rest of the thread. So, maybe it works for me… ---

There will be lots of new things that are happening here at PheroTalk. Some will take getting used too. Currently the upgraded forum, not yet in its completed state, has a social group function, an album, blog, even a place for projects. You will need to experiment a little and have fun. Change needs to be embraced. A while back, I do recall, saying that changes are in the works. Wait till you discover how the “thanks” system works along with the rep power. As far as the search function, that has been updated too. You will be able to search blogs, projects and tags along with posts and threads. Speaking of tagging that is anther thing that will be beneficial, but everything is still being upgraded. Oh and SteveO changed to Steve because, as my role with Androtics takes on new definition, I wanted my presence to be more formal and thus I dropped the O. It’s still my name when I do pick-up, but on the forum I am Steve, so that I can better serve the community at large. ---

I agree. I hate the crappy search functions most forums have. They waste so much time! But we don’t have the typical vbulletin search, you know. We have it set up in a way that’s superior to most forums out there. You can search down to 1 character, use boolean (I want THIS and NOT this), etc. Unlike most vbulletins, you can search for names like “Clive Christian X” in quotes, and actually get posts that mention the Clive Christian X cologne. Show me a typical search that you do with an outside search engine that you can’t do on our own search engine, and I’ll see if I can have the engine changed for the better. > [@OoohYahhh](#): > > OK Here’s an easy one. The forum is not yet fully upgraded yet, btw, guys. We have a nice update coming soon. Also, some functions might be taken away temporarily until the search functions are better. For instance, I don’t like how all new vb system seem to have their own independent search. It is a nice _option_ to separate everything out, but I want the main search to be fully merged/all inclusive so you see everything that involves the keywords you’re looking for. We only want to support new features that have been thought out to a good degree by their designers. Things that are seamless, or close enough. ---

Are the stickies going to be separated a bit from the rest of the threads like they used to be? I liked the “visual separation” of the two sections. ---
