Hey everyone

So, I’ve secretly spent a nice chunk of cash buying [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/) over the past month, and I probably need to accept the fact that I shouldn’t wear these every day unless I want to go bankrupt. Or get caught spending too much. Suffice it to say, I need to either lay off the dope or figure out how to stretch these bottles.

It’s possible the answers to my questions are already in the forum, but this forum’s huge…

Anyway, I have a couple flavors that I’ve come to adore: the Instant Openness and the MX135 blend - MX135 seems especially powerful, and it really helped me open up to the idea that maybe I’m not getting ripped off. And yeah, I’m about to order more. My question is, can dilute the remaining 2ml of a pheromone spray to a base oil (using an emulsifier, probably) and still reap some of the same (diluted, of course) effects? Would it be better to just use alcohol?

Also, on that same note, am I compensating the effectiveness of pheromones by applying essential oils on top of the spray? I’ve been adding an orange, sandalwood, and ylang ylang blend after the spray dries…I’ve wondered if that’s a good idea or not. Most of the people on this forum seem to be using colognes and perfumes on top…

Thanks for your advice/references to other threads!

You won’t get the same effects by diluting into oil. Oil diffuses more slowly than alcohol, so the equivalent phero doses for the same effect tend to be much higher - between six and twenty times, depending on the individual phero - so it may also throw your mix proportions right-off.

It is possible to use scented oils but you are better to apply them near your phero app point, if you apply them over, this may also hamper diffusion but it depends a lot on the environment - the hotter it gets, the more viable applying over becomes as it reduces a spray’s tendency to over-diffuse and expire more quickly. 🙂

I’ve done this primarily but making sure I spray the product in my hair where I have oil based hair products.
