# Dipropylene Gylcol

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had tried using this in a mix or with MX103.

Given the fact that MX103 smells pretty bad and has a fast burn rate I was hoping to slow down the diffusion rate with Dipropylene Gylcol, since I cant simply re-apply it anywhere. I currently apply 30 minutes before required and cover. Top-ups or compositing with cologne seem outta the window.

Any help would be much appreciated, especially if you know what ratios would be most suitable!

I always wondered why should MX103 smell so bad? I tried all four mixes in MX102-105 pack a year back and never noticed any bad smell, just the fresh smell of neroli. Also if MX102 doesn’t smell bad and MX103 is just one phero removed from MX102, then there is no reason why it should smell bad or any worse than MX102.

Try adding concentrated fragrance oil to it, that should definitely help with limiting the diffusion as well as masking the scent, although first make sure that the oil dissolves in the alcohol (some do, some don’t). There are some very strong alcohol based colognes which you can try mixing as well.

I don’t know how strong DPG by itself is in controlling diffusion since it is added by default to all unscented experimones and putatives, still Androtics recommends adding neroli to it, otherwise it’s bye-bye molecules in ~30 minutes specially for the more diffusive ones like TAA.
