Pheromones cannot directly increase your memory however which [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/)(s) would you select to encourage a state of being within yourself that helps you study.

Example:

A314 helps me focus while reading my textbook and benefits me in the sense that I’m more confident in drawing conclusions and making connections.

Further if you can apply the previous question to a group setting, which would you select and why?

For example:

You select IO for studying because you like to talk aloud when memorizing something and you sometimes find yourself orally making a connection before your mind realizes it. Therefore IO is beneficial to you. However, in a group setting IO could likely(and probably will) produce extended conversation’s about topics not related to your desired area of study.

I’m trying to avoid studying and I find it to be an interesting topic that many people will have intriguing opinions about. Also, it doesn’t have to be limited to studying and this topic can encompass all manner of tasks that you will come across in your everyday lives whether it is at work or at home so add anything that you feel is relevant!

I am new here, so can’t yet comment on [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) for memory (but I bet some really help!), but I have been interested in nutrition for a long time. Modern farming practices and the 50% inefficient way we put micronutrients back into soil means our food will continue to have fewer and fewer essential nutrients. Weston Price’s “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” is a good study on our poor farming practices 50 years ago, and the situation is much worse today considering all the new things we do to food. A lot of processed foods are stripped of healthy fats and fiber, and add in neurotoxic things like aspartame and a few other artificial sweeteners and partially hydrogenated oils.

I think the following are good things to do if one wants to keep up mental health:

1. Multivitamin
2. Fish oil
3. Calcium/magnesium
4. Salt and if exercising take electrolyte supplement or drink (tsp salt+tbsp honey+cup citrus juice).
5. Foods high in antioxidants and nutrients good for brain function. I don’t want to get into too much detail, but a few I’d really like to mention, are
a. Coconut oil (now sold at Costco 😃), much maligned but imo healthier than any vegetable oil, and since it oxidizes so much slower than other fats, when your brain uses it to make cell membranes they function better than when using other fats. I eat 1-2 tbsp a day and feel no bad effects.
b. Goji berry (I prefer Dynamic Health juice version, but beware getting it from amazon, I got rancid tasting juice from Amazon merchant DAB Unlimited). The fruit has been prized for a long time for its health effects, very high in antioxidants, and nutrients good for the brain like choline.
6. Make sure you eat enough protein which your brain needs too not just your muscles, 0.5 grams per pound of body weight a day is maintenance minimum, 1 gram if trying to gain muscle. Supplement with whey protein that has no artificial sweeteners like Optimum Nutrition NATURAL whey and isopure. Aspartame is neurotoxic and carcinogenic.
7. Exercise! Both cardio and weight training can be good, but if you’re already fit and just want to exercise for the mind I prefer the latter. Even if you have little time and no equipment, a few sets of one hand pushups or one leg squats a day is enough to get the body to feel more calm.

I have only used TAF twice, first at 25mcg and then at 12.5mcg, but I think this molecule has so much potential for me personally. I’m a serial procratinator but using the TAF kept me on task. I can see myself using this for essay writing, vocabulary revision, lectures, and chores. The first time I used it I was testing myself on foreign language vocab for school, and I swear the terms were coming to me quicker and clearer than usual! I will have to repeat test this but I am already smitten with TAF. I am unsure how it affects others, so I can’t answer your group question yet.

Mental exercises are great too, just memorize lists of things and over time it will come easier and easier. For example I had a 10 page college final that was all multiple choice questions and had a month to prepare but we had a bank with every possible question that was going to be on the test and some that weren’t so rather than studying I worked on my memorization skills up to the night before the test and spent 2 hours memorizing every question and answer. Come the next day I knew the right answer for every question based on the first sentence of the question(paragraph long questions). Was the first one done in only 10 min and got the highest score in the class with like a 98% but since then I can remember stuff with out trying, for example exactly what a girl was wearing on a specific date down to the color of fingernail polish and this effect seems to be enchanced when I am wearing something like instant shine or Chikara.

Best bet is forget the mones, hone your memory and then use them to enhance the effect, every girl loves it when you can remember exactly what she was wearing on a date and when you remember everything she was talking about!

TAF is the molecule that tends to increase motivation, focus and concentration.

P100 has been said to be quite motivating and evoke enthusiasm. Neither will improve memory in my opinion.

Something like IO or anol would be distracting to the task at hand even if you like to study out loud. Just like it would push convo’s with others towards unrelated topics it can do that with your thinking.

Frankly if your looking for something to improve memory and focus I wouldn’t really turn to pheromones. Its not there function. While they do trigger the neurotransmitters to send messages in the brain they do not create neurotransmitters. That needs to be done internally.

I would suggest looking into nootropics (smartdrugs)

Piracetam, Oxiracetam or Aniracetam all help cognitive function.

Other cognitive enhancing substances beside the excellent suggests veramis made.

Acetyl L Carnitine
L-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine
Phospatidylserine (all of which can be found in those nuerodrinks you see below in my signature)

Side note \>\> Neurosonic has been a god send to my son who has mild ADD.

Some herbs \>\>

Ginkgo Biloba increases blood flow to the brain

Oxymethacil decreases oxidation of molecules in the brain

Pyritinol another blood flow improver.

The key really is in your diet and nutrition and I agree with ballzan exercising the brain improves function as well. I wouldn’t look to mones to help in this area though.

Yes, I agree. As a fan of both pheromones and nootropics, I gotta tell ya that pheromones are definitely their own thing. In fact, most of them kind of dull my edge a tiny amount. This doesn’t seem to be true for everyone though. Now, I _have_ found them to be useful for motivation purposes sometimes, different ones. I’ve been experimenting with P92 at work for example, it seems to help me focus a little bit better on the task at hand - problem is that when it wears off I’m even more scattered than before. But in terms of concentration and memory enhancement overall, yeah, you’re better off looking at nootropics.

I don’t really have any that dull my edge. Actually a product from love-scent called chikara has the most profound self effect for me, kind of a euphoric state. To put better how it actually makes me feel is the scenes from the movie limitless when he takes the pill and the color in the scenes become enhanced/brighter that’s kinda how it makes me feel.

Wow, it definitely doesn’t have that effect on me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the product - except for the scent, it doesn’t work for me, but the product itself works for me. But it’s not my favorite for self-effect. Probably in the top ten though.

Thank you for your thoughts everyone! It’s interesting that you would mention nootropics as I just started looking into those as well. I’m trying to increase my overall effectiveness at everything I do in life and I’m convinced that mones can play a significant part in that. If you’ll read this post I was reading the other day, it supports my belief as well. I’m not going to outright say that DHEA is a pheromone but from what I have been reading lately of people dissolving the tablets and testing them, they definitely are. DHEA is a neurosteroid just like Androsterone so they are _quote_ Prime candidates for [putative pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/product-category/advanced-pheromones/putative-pheromones/).

Quote:Generally speaking, the 3-alpha-5alpha isomers of steroids are calming, soothing, anti-anxiety, and sedating (high doses) while the 3-beta-5-beta isomers and the sulfates are not. The beta isomers and sulfates tend to improve cognitive function and enhance memory, and are sometimes implicated in appetite control.

DHEA (3β-hydroxy-5-androsten-17-one) and DHEAS (3β-hydroxy-5-androsten-17-one sulphate) are beta isomers, so they are both expected to act as a memory enhancing-type pheromones, and as long as cortisol levels in the brain are in the normal range it should also decrease the appetite…

Do you have any experience with the dosage of the Piracetam? In the Piracetam package, there are hard-to-belive dosage directions, up to 2.4 to 9.6 grams per day??? (one capsule is 400 mg) ?

Any suggestions on dosage?

Piracetam has got a surprisingly high maximum dose. The pheromone forum isn’t really the place for an in-depth discussion but I usually find myself taking a large dose (2.4 grams, 9.6 seems excessive to me) for the first couple of days, then a smaller maintenance dose (800mg, 1-2 times a day but spaced apart) for a week or two. Then I start getting kinda anxious after a while and stop taking it for a week or two. Good stuff, though.

Well studies have found for cognitive function one dose of 4.8 grams twice a day worked best for most people.

However, the studies are looking for optimum EEG improvement often in those with certain brain disabilities. People often misunderstand studies. They see the study and think “oh thats how much they took to see optimum results” but neglect to notice they were testing for improvement for one specific issue. Your looking for improved function but I assume your not suffering from any brain issues. I always suggest you test it just like mones. Start low and work up till you see improvement. Many people see results with the lower dosages. More is not always better or necessary.

Plus its always best with any suppliment to work up to your dosage as to not shock the system and to make sure you can tolerate the suppliment.

I am not a doctor and this is not a diagnosis or prescription. (I have to say that 🙂) I would suggest doing 1, 400 mg twice a day for the first day or two to see how you tolerate it then double that. 2 cap’s a day would equal 0.80 grams. Spacing your dosage is important. This is just to see how you tolerate it not to see effectiveness. When you double it start looking for effectiveness.

4 = 1.60 grams

6 = 240 grams

8 = 320 grams

10 = 400 grams

Most people I know range between 6 to 10 caps (400 mg) . Some do go higher however more then that can cause irritability in some. We are all different this is another reason you need to work up. Usually those who take the higher doses buy them in higher doses and have specific issues. My sons are 800 mg. He took 3 caps twice a day. He has ADD… well he had it but not anymore. Through supplements and diet it he has improved considerably with that.

Oh I forgot to mention most people cycle it. They will take it for 4 to 6 weeks and be off it for 4 to 6. My son skipped days and took cycled longer when he used it and this worked for him. He occasionally still uses it when he feels he needs it but its not often now.

I am currently taking 1600mg per day. Did start with 3200 grams though - for two weeks. It is however critically important to take choline supplements when taking Piracetam. I haven’t figured out the optimal dosage, so I am experimenting with about 200-300mg of choline, in addition to 1600mg piracetam.

NB! - I am not sure they use GMO soy as the source in choline supplements, but in case they do, then avoid those like the plague. Use only GMO free supplements.

–

As for pheromones - TAC seems to have a nice relaxing effect on me, and I have seen minor improvements in concentration. I have to mention, that I have, by far, not used it enough to draw any definite conclusions.

Did you mean MG’s ?

Good Point Styr, You do have to watch your choline if your diet is poor. If your dont want to take the suppliments then just increase eggs and meat in your diet. My son eats Paleo so its not an issue.

Haha 😃

Yes, that was supposed to be milligrams. Had I taken 3200 grams per day for 2 weeks: Best case - I’d be broke. Worst case - I have not heard of any adverse effects of Piracetam… but then again I suppose no one would consider taking 3200 grams of it. 🙂))

And yes, I’m trying to implement the Paleo diet myself. Have gotten as far as eliminating almost all wheat from my diet.

I decided to give “alpha brain” pills a try after reading around for a while. It’s got a mix of different mild nootropics. Started taking them today, I’ll get back on this thread in a week or two and tell if it’s good or not. I’m guessing piracetam and such may have a better effect while the alpha brain pills could be good for more “long-term” brain health.

If TAF becomes a regular price I’ll gladly try that.

The alpha brain pills didn’t do me any good as they just worsened my insomnia issues 😠. I don’t recommend them to anyone with sleep problems. I’ll go with aniracetam instead.

Forget using mones and going in a roundabout way.. For focus and concentration get plenty of sleep, eat a nutritious diet, do weight, cardio and stretching regularly, and take a supplement(s) designed for brain support and cognitive functioning.

While mones have helped my mind I use them for attraction and effects on others not for studying.
