it’s ok, that’s a very typical reaction from a women. you want to hear what feels good to fustify your self worth, not what is actually true 🙂

I’ll agree that some of this may not be what some women want to hear, but you can’t say it isn’t honest. 😛

For me, being a young adult, I’d agree that there are 4 general categories, usually following this basic pattern.

A crude, but memorable line from the classic Dr Dre - 2001 Album:

“Are they fuckable?” If no, then no further thought is required, unless they show some other quality that makes me want to keep them around in my life. Usually, that means they are intelligent and interesting to talk to, or fun to be around and party with. I almost never consider ‘business’ contacts a reason to be friendly with anyone, man or woman. (Though, if I were trying to be a business man, I probably should develop the habit.)

If they do pass that first test, then it goes into:

Are there any reasons not to socialize with them? Usually the concerns there are other close friends who may be hurt by my actions, more often though, it’s concerns about other hot headed males who may take aggressive action towards me. Sometimes, getting laid is not worth the legal and medical trouble of getting into a fight. Mostly the legal aspects for me..

If they pass that, then the last question is, do they have the spark? There are girls who I’ll walk past or talk to briefly, and upon first impression, it’s there. It doesn’t need to be spoken, both parties know, it’s on.

If you get past all those filters, you’re gold, otherwise, you get put into the other categories of flings, friends, and no-gos.

Honestly, that spark is the most important thing to me. I’ve seen plenty of hot girls, but they don’t necessarily do it for me. But other times, I’ll see a cute girl across the way, and she just instantly gets me going. Those are the girls I want to get to know.

</div>

I categorize women into several categories, but they are to determine how much power I give anyone over me and how much ability they have to hurt me.

They are:

Acquaintances - no real power, but someone that might move into another category.

Bar buddy - no ability to hurt me and no chance of becoming anything more

Friend - Some power and someone that I care about, but not enough to really hurt me.

Girlfriend - power to rip my heart out and leave me broken.

Unfortunately I recently met someone that I just couldn’t drop into a box and who occupied all my categories at once, or simply transcended them. And she stole my heart, at least for a little while, then decided that she didn’t want it anymore and left me just a little bit broken.

eh… maybe I’m weird. Here’s what I go through.
I always look at or think of how attracted I am to them physically. Cause for me, looks do matter. If I’m not physically attracted to them, it’s just not going to work. I remember getting to know this one girl that I had absolutely ZERO physical attraction for, but had pretty much EVERYTHING else I could ask for. But I mean, zero attraction, can’t do anything about that.

That’s basically it, women I find attractive and women I do not. From there, its about getting to know a person. Just because I find a person attractive or unattractive does not have any or much affect on whether or not I will want to get to know them and form a relationship with them, whether it be friendship, business, romance or anything else in between. I guess my categories after physical attraction would be whether or not they are a:
a person I hate
a person I dislike
indifference
friend
close friend
intimate
I can find a person very attractive but she may be someone I would not want to sleep with but they could be someone I hate, dislike, am indifferent to, a friend or a close friend.
Eh, like I said, I’m strange. =/

Hmmm… Interesting tread. Thanks guys, for being so honest!

About the whole category issue, I think women analyse too much. I’m not an exeption. Let’s just say that some magazine like Cosmo came up with a number of categories and I have a specific target in mind (yeah of course I do). I kinda would want to know in what kind of category he’d place me. I’d want him to find me attractive. I’d want him to find me attractive enough to have sex with. I’d want him to think of me as special. Preferrably more special than other women out there. In my specific case, a relationship is out of the question but I still want him to want me _lol_. It seems we just need that kind of affirmation from you guys. I’d love to have a manual telling me with what kind of person I’m dealing, what he thinks of me and what to do so I can get him into bed without getting hurt!

Next to that, if we want you, we don’t even want to know that you don’t want us. We tell ourselves that you’re just not in the mood, that you’re too busy to call or we might even think you don’t like women at all. We just don’t want to take it personally.

The only person that can make you happy is you. It would be terrible if your happiness depended on somebody else (not to mention the pressure on that specific person!).

(I’m doing a lot of talking about “we” and “women” but it’s just my 2 cents, and I’m just 1 woman. So don’t judge all of us on this ok? 😉)

I don’t think this is strange at all Zeph. I’ve been reading the thread and thinking that I was sort of an oddball. The difference I would make is proabably age related, but I would reverse the order. I would first catagorize by whether or not I liked the person, and then by how much attraction I felt. There was a time when I could find someone sexually desirable and still dislike them, but I don’t think that is the case anymore. Flipside is it’s much easier to find sexually attractive qualities in someone you actually like and want to be around. I guess my catatgories would be those I:

1. Dislike
2.Pity
3.Enjoy
4.Admire
I guess on the PU 6-10 scale ‘enjoy’ would cover 6-8 and ‘admire’ would be 9 and 10.

I concur, is all about attraction.

Is that you in the picture? Nevertheless, I find you attractive, really attractive just by your words and given your post more special than other women… lets say, more Flirtatious 😉

Yes I agree, a relationship is totally out of question 🆒 I am replying just in the spirit of learning and en-joying and hopefully bringing a gentle blushing smile to your face today that sparks your day with good vibe.

In the flirtatious playful spirit of honesty of this reply, I would say: I am not yet sure if I could want you, but I want to keep reading your posts, is that a good start?🙄

:o Gentleman, if I am allowed Flirtatious deserves some Thanks. I just like her daring honesty sharing her point of view and respecting - acknowledging ours. Have you all a wonderful day.

Being considered special based by my words means much more to me than just taking a look at a picture (yes it’s me), so thank you. You indeed put a smile (even a slight blush!) on my face :o I sure hope my other posts won’t disappoint you 😉

Thanks for the thanks! I don’t mind you being honest at all, the differences between men and women are fascinating to me and I’m just learning. How can we understand eachother if we’re not allowed to be honest?

Intelligent, honest, sensitive in communication and beautiful… That is totally attractive!!! (I am going for the full blush today in your face now:oWell not the blush but the smile, yeah).

Being intelligent is acknowledging our capacity to err, I think that’s smart, that’s human and that’s great.

Fascinating, indeed. Understand, i wish. Honesty is the way, I concur.

I think this is part of the huge added value of this forum. To learn, appreciate and respect different views, different perspectives and the two sides of the same coin. At the end, behind all of this stuff, forums, products, stories and what not, there’s just one story being weaved: the quest for love, connection and intimacy.

Thank you for stepping into the mensroom, to you and all the ladies that did so, have done so, in this post. I always appreciate when this happens. I rarely go to the ladies room. If I do, I will look for your posts.

Ah! and thank you for being you… fliratious, I meant. I really like that, being like that, I mean. 😃

Ok, enough of being flitratious for me.

For men and the ladies it is a bit different.

We go through cycles as well, depending on one thing. When was the last time we had a release…

Based on the usual consistency of release has a direct relation to our attitude as well as our aggressiveness towards other males and ladies we meet while on the prowl.

I personally am looking for something long term, so I use PUA as well as other much advanced techniques to screen potential mates.

Not everyone is the same, but that is what I use this stuff for, as well as work, I love my job now and am looking forward to going to work now because of the respect I get as well as how people seem to look forward to seeing me and hearing my advice.

Well, it is refreshing to know that someone else can blame their social interactions on their cycles! 😛

Seriously, you guys have laid it on the line for us, and although we sometimes cringe from honesty that isn’t flattering, it is that honesty that helps us forge ahead and become better than we were yesterday.

Vangelis, it’s not that scary in the ladies room. You are welcome anytime.
