Hi all,
Does anyone know, or has experience with the effects phero products have on our pets (dogs, cats, birds) and can it change the way they react to us when we wear them?
Thanks.

Haha it’s funny you should mention this. The very first time I got into [pheromones](https://a314.com/), I used an androstenone-based product “Pheromone Attractant for Men”. A few minutes after putting a little on my wrist to try out the smell, my cat came into the room looking for attention. After a few seconds of stroking him, he went into one of those weird cat psycho episodes where they see movements that aren’t there in bedsheets or rugs and try to kill them. He wasn’t violent to me (and never is to people) but this friskiness lasted several minutes. He does do this from time to time without any prompting, and that was the only time he did it in response to the pheromones, so I’m sceptical that there’s really a link there, but it was kind of funny at the time 🙂

Hmmm, this is a popular topic, maybe we should make it sticky! If the topic grabs you, then there are two open threads on pet effects in addition to this one: an older thread [here](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/pheromones-effect-on-pets/897/9) and a more current one [here.](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/effects-on-pets/1500)
