I am at the age where I hang with women in both categories. Does menopause change the effects of phero’s?

Thanks,

Al

I don’t know if the effects of phero’s on the female targets change as the age or fertility of the target does…

But I do know that older or post-menopausal women, as well as women on birth control need to use more phero’s, in particular cops (which technically isn’t a phero but that’s off topic) as their natural production is a lot lower…

The effects of mens products, in particular -none, also depend on age and the level of natural phero production. I believe that high -none doses and young females usually don’t agree with each other if I’m not mistaken… it tends to scare/put them off…

The guys report that when they wear too much Androstenone they only attract old women. But these guys are in their teens or early 20’s, and old to them is relative. So the belief has come up that the older a woman is the more she can tolerate Androstenone, and the more attractive high doses is to her. Wrong!

I think once you start reaching for menopause, any androstenone is too much androstenone. I am 48 and I OD on that stuff so easy it isn’t funny. 2.5 mcg Androstenone is almost guaranteed to set my teeth to grinding, give me a headache, give me an anxiety attack, and make me want to run screaming into the night. It is my least favorite [pheromone](https://a314.com/) and I wish they’d ban it. To me Androstenone is not sexy, is not threatening… it is just ultra irritating.

Albi, many things change the effects of pheromones. They really aren’t one size fits all molecules and mixes. You’ll need to test to find out what products work the best for you and find the sweet spot for dosage.

The consumer products have been tested and tested and tested, and even they might work differently with you, based on your body chemistry, your genetics and the unique makeup of you. That is why Androtics has such a generous money-back guarantee.

Take TAF for example. One of the characteristics of TAF is that it lowers filters to incoming details, so that you notice things you never noticed before. Some people find the wealth of incoming data to be almost overwhelming, it is so rich, and they just want to stop what they are doing and “smell the roses”. Some people don’t get that response. Xiphoid and I, for example, get the opposite effect, and find TAF filters out all the extraneous stuff and allows us to focus. Both of us have ADD. A very small minority find TAF causes a fight-or-flight response.

Most of the products seem to generate pretty consistent results. Those are all the socials, CTTM, [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/), Instant Honesty, and MX274, and the status mixes MX134/MX300 and MX135. The sexy mixes, Instant Sexiness/A and /B seem to take a little more playing around to get them to do what you want them to do, and are a little more context dependent.

We are all waiting for Androtics new copulins formula, which is in pre-testing right now. When that hits the shelves, there will probably be a run on the store, and tens of reports on it and nothing else. 😛

Welcome to the forum, btw. When you start using individual products we are all here to lend and ear and help figure things out. You’ll probably end up a pheromone junkie like the rest of us, so welcome to that exclusive club, also. 😃

Thanks Xiphoid & Diane!

My first order should be here today or Monday! (A314, [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/), TUTH)
Looking forward to tyring them out.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am still new to the entire world of Phero’s, so I am still trying to figure out which products contain 'none, and which don’t. Any Quick chart somewhere?

Oh, I beg to differ, Diane! I’m 51 (not post, but most definitely peri-) and I loooove androstenone, on the right guy at the right time. Androstenone and copulins are the basis of a hot sex mix, as far as I’m concerned. 😃😃

TUTH, Dirty, Raw Power, Ammo, [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/) are some that have 'none.

The Edge for Women gel packs (not sold here) have a little bit of it … great product, a sexual intensifier.

Unless you are me and then they are guaranteed to ruin your whole night! Blech! 😠

Give me Androsterone or P80 any day over Androstenone! 😛

I know a lot of women who are both pre-menopausal and post and they tolerate anone fine both wearing it and with men wearing it. In fact older women do react more obviously but it has nothing to do with tolerance.

Older women have more experience and peak sexually in our thirties and forties. We tend to be more open and comfortable with our sexuality as well. Young women are still effected by anone but they are more wary so may subdue there reaction more. But they do feel it.

Anone and cops results in two things. Hot sex and spending the day spakleing the bedroom wall the next day. I really gotta move the head board away from the wall LOL 😃

I wouldn’t miss it at all. 😛 Luckily I don’t need it. 😮 A -none OD is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. Even [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) didn’t help much. Showering didn’t help at all, of course. It felt the way I’ve imagined heroine withdrawal must feel… extremely sick, anxious, tense, uncomfortable, just plain miserable for hours and hours.

And that was with just a pin head sized dollop of Edge Gel under my nose. I’d been reading about self effects, and yes, I did that silly thing. Never again is all I can say.

What I can’t get my head around is how younger women are more positively responsive to Androstenone mid month when hormone levels peak, and yet Androstenone is supposedly _more_ attractive to older women, whose hormonal levels are naturally declining. All the user reports seem to support both these findings. It seems like these two scenarios would naturally be mutually exclusive. (Splitting infinitives is my new hobby, btw.)

Why do you suppose that is?

There can come a time when your estrogen and progesterone levels drop enough to leave your testosterone in charge … might have something to do with it. 🙄

I just finished reading a study that quotes another study showing that exposure to androstenone in men actually lowers testosterone levels. I’m far from certain that this could be extended to the same effect in women, but it is distinct possibility.

[Introduction](http://legacy.nikmakepeace.com/shared/research/intro.html)

> [@](#):
>
> In males, too, there is evidence of physiological changes resulting from semiochemical exposure. Also studying behavioural effects of semiochemicals at Vienna, Atzmüller (unpublished) reported a significant decrease in testosterone levels in men exposed to _ **androstenone** _ for 15 minutes, when compared with men exposed to a control scent of lemon oil. At the same time, a significant negative correlation was reported between testosterone levels and co-operative behaviour, i.e. males with high testosterone levels co-operated significantly less than those with lower levels of testosterone. This has implications for the role of _ **androstenone** _ in social behaviour; males who produce high levels of _ **androstenone** _ may well be inducing greater levels of co-operation amongst other males by virtue of the testosterone-reducing effect of _ **androstenone** _ exposure.

Since it has been shown that there is a positive correlation between testosterone levels in women and desire, I doubt this is what is doing it for women who find androstenone to be sexually stimulating.

BTW, I think it is the liberation of testosterone, via lowered progesterone and estrogen, that makes older women feel so sexy and freer sexually, rather than any purely emotional factors. Not that that also doesn’t have a role, as does just general maturity, I just think biology plays a bigger part in it.

Now that _is_ interesting. My wife, who is a chemist & research scientist, has long been telling me that an over-abundance of testosterone is the one biggest contributors to violence in this world.

If this holds true, and we can get everyone using 'none based phero’s, wouldn’t there then be less violence and more cooperation world-wide???

Sounds like we have a new mission 😃

Well, yeah, sort of. Except that reports are conflicting. Traditionally, Androstenone is reported to cause increased aggression amongst males. So, which view holds true? And, of course, there’s the problem of decreased sex drive if you decrease testosterone too much in males. Peace is all well and good, but who’s willing to trade peace for no-sex?

Also there is the very real possibility for OD if you go spraying Androstenone around willy-nilly, as there is a build-up issue with this sticky/heavy molecule.

Nah, I think it’s more physiological than psychological. Testosterone just ramps up the physical desires.

Well, desire is one of those things that a lot goes into. I can have a ton of desire going, but if my hubby is snappish… that just flies out the window. And I may not be feeling all that attracted, and he can kiss me in a certain way or growl in my ear, and it makes all the difference in the world.

But testosterone has been shown to be effective in treating women with low libido, specifically.
