# Do smokers get less of an effect from pheros than non smokers?

Your correct, usually if your target is a smoker you will need to use more to get a response from them.

It has nothing to do with smell. Mone Molecules diffuse into the air and are inhaled into the nasal passage and to the brain where they attach to certain receptors. There is still debate on whether its directly or by way of the VNO but either way they still travel up the nasal passage.

Smokers nasal passages are often inflammed and slightly congested even though they are unaware of it. This hampers the ability for the mones to make it all the way up the passage to the brain.
