Since I’m in the UK it’s hard to get pheros like Ammo and instant shine. I was looking around and found this web page: Pheromones UK - [buy pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) - powerful aphrodisiac seduction

Does this look legit and will these pheros work? They have a money back garantee.

Not particulary. They even use isopropyl alcohol, which is a good sign of a product made with components from the local drug store. Unfortunately, the local drug store doesn’t have the hormones needed to make [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/).

If you want a supplier in the UK, try Dr. George Dodd. He was actually instrumental in the early discovery of many pheromone molecules, so you’d be in excellent hands. I don’t remember what his website his at the moment, but I’m sure someone can fill in.

They also have the old “wipe” products (you wipe them on w/ a little moist towelette) from him, which I don’t think are produced anymore. I tried them a few times, and they were nice. For the longest time, it was the most social product I’d ever tried.

Dodd’s products were definitely the real thing. He has some new ones for sale now, and you can pick up older ones on [ebay.co.uk](http://ebay.co.uk). I think the older ones were under the KioTech brand. Again, not sure if they were ever re-released.

There are many pheromone companies out there, some legit, some not. What you really need to ask yourself is how legitimate do their marketing principals sound. When I go to their site the first thing that stands out as a WOW is:

- Attractant **[pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/)** make you sexually attractive to women instantly.
- Have beautiful women approach YOU as the pheromones work their magic

What strikes me as BS is everywhere on this forum, a group of like-minded individuals, expressing unbiased reporting about Androtics and other companies products and everywhere it is written **“Pheromones are not magic!”**

There is no product in the world that is going to work magic like these people claim. They are basically depending on the very SLIM 37 day money back guarantee that most customers wont bother and will give up trying to send them back. It’s really a numbers game, and unfortunately its usually the consumer who loses out. Not to mention the respectable educational/research/development aspect of pheromones and what they are capable of doing.

There are many of these companies out there, but again, you have to ask yourself are you falling victim of well-written marketing hype, or does the offer sound legitimate. My rule-of-thumb is if I have to ask somebody if it is legitimate I wouldn’t touch it with a 39 and a half foot pole.

KioTech did, after he sold the company. I’m not sure he was ever interested in fish. If you look at his recent work, it seems like he was more interested in natural perfumery. He seems to have an almost 60s-era love, peace and hedony streak about him. 🙂

OK, I remembered his site (one of them, anyway)…

> **[Aroma Sciences](https://www.aromasciences.com)**

There’s a “PheroFragrance” on there for men and women. I haven’t tried these particular ones yet, but if I can guess by his past work, then these are probably upbeat, feel good products.

He’s a little interview with him:
[Sniffapalooza Magazine, Dr. George Dodd, Natural Perfumery, perfume critic, natural perfumes, perfume interview, Scent Systems Sniffapalooza Magazine, perfume critic, Sniffapalooza, fragrance reviews, perfume, Tuberose Gardenia, perfume reviews, frag](http://www.sniffapaloozamagazine.com/DRGEORGEDODD.html)

Again, he’s one of the inventors of [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) technology. Here’s probably, oh, 14,382 times more legit than the people behind the website brought up here.

Real researchers like Dodd don’t run websites that look like they came out a pack of “Get rich quick internet marketing templates”. 🙂 In fact, a lot of really innovative people never really make money from their inventions at all. I think that’s rather unfortunate.

I have always wondered about Dr. Dodd’s philosophy. I am a huge fan of his xcite wipes, not so much of his Pherofragrance (PF) though.

Yet, I am pretty sure that if I didn’t discover A314 I would probably have found no use for either xcite wipes or PF and would have probably stopped using them long back. The reason being that they don’t work so well by themselves (atleast for me) but produce very noticeable reactions when used in combination with A314.

Dr. Dodd has isolated 30-50 pheromones and from what I have read is a naturally gifted perfumer (has an extremely sharp sense of smell) but still what he is continuing to sell, i.e. PF, is far from a knockout (xcite wipes work much better for some reason, although its the same formula as PF, yet he stopped selling it and its not available anymore except at some sites in the UK who won’t ship outside).

I will say that even Athena, the much maligned product, works much better as a standalone than PF.

Maybe he didn’t intend to create a knockout, but it’s little disappointing to see this is all he could come up with.

Even APC which is sold at the sleaziest, cheapest, most obscenely marketed websites all over the internet got me hits that were very quickly recognizable. That might just be the nature of its primary molecule androstenone though. Still…

I find it troubling for a person of Dr. Dodd’s background and knowledge, and who if you see his interview that Jas posted, talks a lot about the role of pheromones for sex appeal, and understands animal attraction and sexuality, and appeal of musky scents, yet fails to recognize the effect of androstenone and refuses to incorporate this molecule in his product.

I think all of the more responsible individuals are a little -none wary.

Think about it. We’re very cautious with -none. We’ll use it, but label the product wisely so you know what you’re in for. (Turn Up the Heat, [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/), etc.)

James Kohl won’t touch the stuff, it seems. He’s a rone man. (Since he seems to like biking as a hobby, maybe he’s a _natural_ -none guy like a lot of other bikers are?)

Dr. Dodd is a social phero guy.

Dr. Winifred Cutler seems be all about anything other than androstenone.

Erox and Pherin weren’t into -none. (but then again, that’s may be because they couldn’t patent it)

You’ll notice a lot of the sleezier /scammier companies are into -none. (when they include anything in their product at all, that is)

Then again, most of these companies don’t intend to stay open very long. They don’t really care about people much, they care more for the money in your wallet. Ultimately, they’ll take the money and run should they hurt anybody.

Whereas the rest of us have reputations to uphold, and we try to be good “citizens of earth”. We certaintly don’t want to mess anybody up.

I know, in our case, we’ve had long discussions about desiging consumer products to help dress up the “emotional atmosphere” of the world a bit. We’d _hate_ to see a high -none product become truly popular, because of the way it could possibly raise the “emotional temperature” of the planet (making point shorter w/each other, more hot headed, etc.).

We’d rather give out a high androstenone / high special effect type product as a form of “proof” then steet people towards the more beneficiene stuff. Our planned consumer strategy so far is to give a small sample of “balls to the wall” PheroBomb with Ammo, but have the new Ammo be a good everyday, feel good product that spreads emotional benefits beyond the immediate vicinity of the wearer.

In this way, if we ever had a true commercial hit, we’d be creating something sort of like “positive pollution” instead of negative.

it’s a different way of thinking. I like it. I think if more businesses thought this way – if they thought of the “wins” involved for the world at large, beyond their own wins and wins for their end customer – then we’d have a much cleaner, happier planet.

Whatever we do, we want want to create any new problems in the world, or be part of an existing problem.

Anyway, I guess that’s why you see the sleezy or callous with their fake or -none products, and the more nurturing type people with products that are more social and beneficient to all.

Jas, I understand this position and admire it. I believe though that even if only good products are advertised more broadly, yet when people start to like them and look out for more and better products they will inevitably be looking for products with sexual effects. Nothing wrong with that. Androstenone is as sexual as they come, especially during ovulation, and it has some negative side effects as you mention, part of the territory with sexual attraction I guess.

We want to be sexually desired. I am wondering if there are many male customers that buy IS, IO, IH, SOE and never buy Ammo, TUTH, TE/NPA or many female customers that buy the social products but never buy ISexi or LAM? I think it’s not fair to expect that and the _containment_ of androstenone or copulins from pheromone buying public is next to impossible.

I like that here at Androtics you have your heart at the right place. And Kohl, Cutler and Dodd have too, although researchers have another motivation of not loosing face in the academic community and fear being discredited (perhaps for endorsing a “pig” pheromone like Androstenone; Cutler has mentioned it several times; but I am pretty sure she uses Androstenol which is also produced by pigs, so ???).

I don’t really think Androstenone can create a problem with society at large, so much so that we should be avoiding this molecule. Androtics’ approach is right, make it available, but label it correctly and let the buyer decide!

Jasmin, I still don’t think I understand what you mean with the pherobomb. Is PheroBomb ever going to be available or do I have to purchase ammo again to receive a sample of it? Also, do you mean there going to be a new version of ammo comming out soon?

perronec I don’t think a picture of their lab can tell you much about the quality of their pheros. If you have the extra money there’s no harm in experimenting, but if you don’t I’d say save it until you discover a better option since I, like most who replied on this thread feel that the site does not look the most reputable.

I, like you also believe that this site is running along the lines of phurlure, and any number of other fake product brands.(they even have the by one get one sale!)

I posted this picture to perpetuate this conversation, and maybe (hopefully) have Jasmin, or anyone who works at androtics chime in and say “see, that thing is made of Styrofoam” or something conclusive like that. fear not dapg01, my wallet never left my back pocket.

Yeah, the caveats and background information on -none on this forum and on the Androtics site are key here. Of course, if some of these products from the dodgier, spammy websites actually contained significant amounts of -none, they’d be dangerous, sending the newb off down the club without prepping him on the nature of the molecule, and its role as an often antagonistic signal to others.

With Androstenone being a main player on the stage of _natural_ [human pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), it has been very interesting for me to experiment with it in artificial doses, and a real learning experience. I appreciate that many folks might want to see results fast with it, and they may do, but unfortunately the results may be not to their liking! But I have found personally that I have explored a part of my personality with the help of Androstenone usage, and become a better person for it; it has been a very interesting ride. It’s kind of like an archetypal thing! I have learned to love -none. I should say that I am pushing 40 as well and so have the profile to get away with wearing it more easily…

It possibly isn’t for everyone though… the “one size fits all” phero-approach of dousing men in -none has been quite rightly called into question on this forum. But with a little background information and careful usage, the molecule gives a very interesting insight into the dynamics of masculinity and inter-sexual behaviour IMHO.

Yeah, but

A. What’s not sexual about other pheromones? Since more than 50% of all behaviours are driven by the _subtext_ of sexual reproduction, then everything is in some way sexual.

Androstenol can be sexual, as can P74, P83, etc.

B. What’s so common about ovulation? The entire population of women only experiences it every 1 out of every 31 days. The other 30 days, we won’t necessarily like it.

Nothing wrong with a well planned -none product, I think. Especially if named as close as 100% accurately as you can name them, like Turn Up The Heat, Instant Jerk, and PheroBomb, all of which accurately describe the effects.

However, should any of those products be daily wear for most people, in most contexts? No. Probaby not.

And if people wore any of them as much as they wore Axe, we’d be as guilty of a form of pollution – emotional pollution – as Exxon was with the Valdez disaster.

I didn’t say -none wouldn’t be used, rather it would be used responsibly, and owuldn’t be the HIGHLIGHT of a mainstream consumer product.

Again, think of Axe as a strong -none product. Maybe Instant Jerk strength, or stronger.

You don’t see anything _wrong_ with that?

Yes, we are a little more moderate in our approach. We do see a use for androstenone, and have simply been figuring out how to integrate it into an approach strategy.

Mostly, we’ve been running scenarious.

Obviously if we used certain formulations, we could more easily have a “hit” on our hands, because the pheromonal “hits” would be so strong & obvious that almost any guy could notice.

However, we run risk scenarios, and see what the ultimate impact of that would be. Experimentation HERE aside (which is safe from our “safety” issues), we design our products and projects to be a “win” for as many parties as possible.

Although it’ll probably never occur… as an exercise with high contrast, we look to ourselves, and say “If 1 out of every 5 people you met were wearing a [pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/), would you rather it be Liquid Sunshine or Instant Jerk?”

It’s always Liquid Sunshine. Even the guy running the scenario pick Liquid Sunshine.

I mean, seriously, imagine if Opera ever called, and I was on her show. Which formula would you want me talking about on there?

Run the scenario. It’s like a Choose Your Own Adventure book. Based on your choices, you’ll get a darker or brighter emotional result.

Think of it like dumping stuff in a river. What would you want to dump in a river?

Yes, it will be available. PheroBomb was scheduled to be released as a test pack after the current P74 based Ammo test pack.

Unfotunately, people have been dragging their feet on that, so it’s release has been slowed down. Nothing we can do about that. We can’t and don’t operate in a research vacuum. We need to get our feedback in a certain sequence.

I’m sorry to sound harsh, but nobody who uses isopropyl alcohol in a commercial perfume product knows about pheromone worth knowing. That’s not even legal. If they had enough knowledge to actually build a lab, they’d know better.

And that’s just a picture of a spectrometer, btw. That’s not the right kind of lab they’re even picturing! (i.e., that’s an analytical lab, doh!)

Buy from scammers if you want, but think about the kind of garbage in the world you’re supporting. You vote with your dollars, and send messages loud and clear.

Dr. Dodd is also in the UK, and can ship to you cheaply. He’s one of the key people who actually CREATED [pheromone technology](https://pheromonelabs.com/), and would even work with you PERSONALLY to creating something effective just for you. Moreover, he isn’t a morally bankrupt conman like these folks obviously are.

You couldn’t be more apples and oranges than that. One deserves the support, because he’s a genuinely nice person – GENIUS, even – and truly cares about people and their results in life. While the other deserves a punch in the face and jail time for being slop slop careless, shabby cons that don’t even know what the hell alcohol is, nevermind a mass spectrometer.

How can you expect them to know what a pheromone is, or how to synthesize it or how to talk to a chemist to have it synthesized for them, when they can’t suss out those simple differences between types of alcohol or machines? These are the kinds of people who drink rubbing alcohol at parties, my friend. i.e., NOT LEGIT

I don’t know if you’re a glutton for punishment or what, but I know to what kind of people my hard earned $ is going to! (it’s going to someone who’s going to give me something of equal or higher value back!)

Thanks for the information on where things are going both with the products and with things being split into a research and a consumer section. I know most of this has been mentioned or alluded to before by yourself, Steve (O, Ozz, Big O, Stephen .. lol) and Tisha but it is good to hear the updates again.

Also nice to have you back on the forum again. Always good to hear your thoughts, suggestions, etc..

Now if only we could get Michael back from time to time …

And [love-scent.com](http://love-scent.com), btw, also ships to the UK cheap. Or did, anyway. (unlike us, they can use USPS because they’re shipping out of Colorado, which has a superior postal system when compared to the postal black hole called LA)

If they still do, that’s another inexpensive way to get some good stuff. Try The Edge by LaCroy. If you want an androstenone product, it’ll blow your head off compared to what some domestic scammer in the UK has to offer.

Yep, just a matter of time. We’re slow roasters here. We try to do things right (or as right as _possible_) vs. doing things fast.

Thank you! 🙂 🙂

Well, I’m here to upgrade and debug. Mostly I manage and get things done at more of a “meta level” you could say, but I love being here.

I want to hit the phones for a day or two sometime soon, too, but I’ve had too many “fires” to put out recently.

He’s been busy trying to fund all this and keep it together.

If we can get a consumer product going (i.e., a constant profit stream of some sort), he’ll have more time to dip in. More attention to spare.

It does seem like a nice picture, but i have seen this exact same picture used over the last few years in advertisments by various sellers claiming to produce pheromones.
