# Do unscented pheromones diffuse without a cologne, and should I layer one on top?

Unscented Pheromones, do they work better, the same or worse? Since [unscented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) do not have a cologne to diffuse, does it still work? Can I use a cologne (on top or bottom of it) with it to diffuse it?

Yes you can definitely use a cologne on top or under it. I usually apply mones and then cologne. [Unscented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) have diffusion enhancers in them normally, so they work just as good theoretically. The stealth/nude is diffusion tech. I’m still waiting for my bottle to come in so I can’t comment on its effectiveness.

I use a lot of [unscented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) form other companies and they seem to work just fine. I always apply cologne over my pheromones.

I’ve generally found unscented has slower/poorer diffusion and any phero cloud is much smaller/closer to you.

The only exceptions are in very hot atmospheres where you don’t need to rely on the scent/body heat for diffusion but they tend to be sweaty and you run the risk of washing-out your pheros or having them turn much faster into an obvious stink. Some pheros/products are far worse than this compared to others but individual sensitivity plays its part too.

Cologne over unscented can help matters greatly but it still can IME still be slightly poorer diffusion compared to a scented product but dose adjustment is viable to take-up the slack.

You don’t actually need much of a scent to get good diffusion though and 6% [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) settles very light after a short while for sprays, whilst the scent of A314 oil goes very light indeed, making it suitable for use in no/low scent environments - plus the stealth diffusion scent is also minimal. Any of these will do better than full-on unscented.
