Well, not so much a jerk. We have a new manager where I work and she’s a nice person to me.. except when where a314. Whenever I where it… a few things happen… 1. She’ll trust me to do whatever I want. 2. She’ll be very apologetic to me 3. She’ll mock me… as if she wants to bring me down. I suppose that 1 and 2 make sense when I wear a314, but 3 just confuses me when the other 2 happen. I’ll reward 1 and 2 by saying “thank you” and “not a problem” respectively but as for number 3, I don’t do anything… I don’t smile or laugh at any of her mocks… even though she’s looking right at me laughing herself. I usually don’t experience anything like this because I tend to wear a314 around people I know. She’s new so I really get to gauge a reaction. Just thought I’d throw this out there… ---

It is possible that she feels threatened against the vibe you are putting out and is trying to make herself feel less threatened by mocking her opponent. ---

Mocking responses from A314 are classic non-congruency signs!!! Read up on congruency. She’s not taking you seriously. Some how you’re giving a signal that contradicts A314’s vibe. It could be anything including her. Sounds like she’s a little confused about how to treat you. Overall it sounds like she repects you but something is making her constantly test. ---

I get all kinds of confusing signals from her. One minute she’s mocking me or trying to break me… the next minute she is giving me freedom to do whatever I want. I’ll look up on congruency. I really need to as I have spent the last two years or so trying to learn how to be confident after growing up being shot down by others… and I am still working out the details. It would not be a surprise if I am inconsistent in behavior. ---

A314 dominates to well. From time to time you are going to see people who are in constant contact with you lash out a little as their brains have naturally caused them to be more defensive in reaction to the A314 ---

Mocking is typical beta behaviour. The concious motivation is nearly always that the person doing the mocking wants to feel more important and to downgrade the status of the person being mocked. However the effect of this behaviour is always the opposite - simply because the act of mocking acknowledges that the person doing it feels threatened by you. Another thing that often happens is people trying to reassert some kind of authority. They might do this by giving inappropriate orders or having some kind of aggressive outburst that just ends up making the person look stupid. An important rule of [pheromones](https://a314.com/) in general: don’t confuse people’s intentions with the effects of their actions 🙂 ---

To answer the question that was in the topic of this thread. Yes A314 seems to make older men act a bit jerkish. As in older I mean elderly, and with months of testing I have found this to be consistent; at least with my body chemistry. ---
