I want to transfer my A314 into a clear dropper bottle

but I don’t want to ruin it by having light effect the properties.

Does anybody know if light will change or convert A314 into something else?

I don’t think plastic bottles are a good idea if that’s plastic.

I heard a story once of someone’s scent of eros turning rancid smelling after being left out in the light on a car dashboard for a while. could be the synthetic scent molecules though, i think the [pheromones](https://a314.com/) should be stable but i’d still keep them out of the light.

Many stores that sell EOs–organic food, new age BS, witch supplies, etc.–sell dark brown glass bottles with squeeze droppers.

I think there is a reason why most phero products are packaged in dark blue or brown bottles. It may not affect much in short term though.

yes, but they only contain 40 sprays and you can use one up in a week … while A314 is an oil that you use sparingly and it could easily take you 6 months of daily use to finish it. Keeping pheromones in plastic for that long might not be the greatest idea; glass is certainly less reactive.

I buy alot of EO from different companies online and in shops at home and have been told that all oils should be stored in the Blue or amber glass bottles. Never plastic. This is because the light depletes the scent as well as making the oil go rancid after a while.

I keep all my EO out of the light including my pheromones. I had my husband build a shelf in my closet where I keep them all because it is cool and dark in there.

The only company I buy from that used clear so far is Love Potions. I am planning on transfering them which breaks my heart because the bottles are so pretty. I get bottles from all over but here is the last place I ordered them about 4 months ago

Edit to add I like some of there Synergistic blends as well. Check them out from there home page.

Haha, Dang. I bought 25 semi clear plastic mini 2ml spray atomizers for $11.00 for portable use off ebay. lol. Oh well, only 2 ml, thats like what 10 sprays, and I plan on leaving them in my pocket, in a cloth holder I’ll make. So if it does go bad, it’s only 2 mls. Isn’t the bottles that the phero’s come in made of plastic. Not clear, but still plastic. I could be wrong though, I haven’t gotten mine yet. lol.

Well, I put it in a plastic medical dropper that is white for antibiotic eye drops

I’ll have to check with jasmin. It’s to much of a pain to use the dropper.

Speaking of To-Go bottles, does anyone knows where to get new empty ones? 'cos I love 'em!

I carry my refreshment pheros in little plastic spray bottles, quite similar to To-Go bottles. Plastic, because if I drop 'em, which happens alot, they’ll be alright.

Sunlight is proberbly the biggest enermy of pheromones. Ever have a fetish teddy bear or blanket and the smell is gone after putting it out in the sun? (I do… 😛)

So, if you like to keep it in transparent, clear plastics, make sure you put it in dark places, like deep inside your pocket. But NEVER for long-term storage.

I put about 10 squirts of my fav. pheros in my plastic bottles and refill them from the big bottle once in a while.

It’s just my opinion more than anything else, but I suspect for short-term use “clear” (something other than brown of blue) bottles would be just fine. I can’t see the carrier oils in a314 doing _that_ much damage to the plastic, but I’d of course keep an eye on it and replace the container if it showed signs of deterioration. Glass of course would be superior.

Nalgene bottles may be fine too, but not sure they would come small enough, and they are probably more expensive than glass ones.

One of our comsetics experts may have a more educated opionion of course…
