# Does smoke in a packed hookah lounge affect pheromones? I’ve been using [Pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) for almost 2 years now, but I have never used it in a smoking environment or around smokers (state law, healthy life style…etc) This weekend I was in a Hooka lounge and the place was packed with smoke. Does smoking of any kind, or being in a place backed with smoke affect the effects of pheromones? I had on (2)A314 + (3)Ammo + (3)IShine + (?)IOpeness - My Instant Openess spray seems to be malfunctioning and can’t get it to spray properly… ---

I believe that the effects are still there on others, especially if they don’t smoke. But if in a hookah bar where everyone smokes I’d say that it’s most likely that others felt the effects less, although I don’t know this for sure. ---

I dont smoke myself but I have tested in smoky environments and on people who smoke. For smokers I found they seem less effected or you need to use a much higher concentration to get the same reactions you would from those who dont smoke. In smoky environments I notice a drop in hits but I feel it depends on how much smoke is in the environment and how long people have been exposed to it. I have considered and researched why through the sense of smell institute and other online sources. Smoking and second hand smoke inflames the nasal canal. Its my opinion that the inflammation makes it harder for people to inhale the molecules far enough into the nasal canal to reach the receptors or pathways that would take it to the brain for processing. Now keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion from my own experiences and others who smoke may have more to contribute to this subject. Tisha ---

Usually my mixes do pretty good with the 20 to mid 30s crowd. I worry that if I up the dosage, I might either OD or attract/affect the older crowd, if I change location during the night. Especially if I had Any AMMO and/or TUTH in the mix. I do agree with you though, one friend of mine who smoked for years told me he can’t smell or taste well because of smoking ---

I’ve cycled through molecules/products as well and took days off and the only difference I know if is the last month or so I’ve been a pack a day smoker (sometimes more). When I wasn’t smoking/barely smoking, I was still getting [pheromone](https://a314.com/) rushes with new molecules, and with some, I’m not at all, and with one it was barely noticeable. I think that it does have something to do with it, because my sense of smell and taste are diminished when I smoke a lot. I also t hink its the same concept as wearing mones at the gym, there are already a lot in the air from natural production and also like in busy bars and clubs where there are a lot of competing scents. ---
