Not really - You usually need much more on clothes, sometimes a great deal more - IME between 6 and 20 times the skin dose depending on the individual phero to get a similar effect and then only in much more limited temp conditions - Mones really do benefit from your circulation warming the skin and promoting diffusion.

Also some fibers will trap mones very effectively, leading to very greatly reduced diffusion and eventually uncontrolled buildup and stench that is difficult to shift.

TBH, even mone products like Alter Ego that are formulated for use on clothes do actually do better on skin, more reliably in wider conditions at a much lower dose.

I’ve never used it on clothes because like mobo said, it would take a lot more product to even get a chance of diffusion and also because I suspect that it might be hard to wash it all out afterwards. None sticks to the skin, I can imagine how well it would stick to fabric.

Yes. Self effects are great for me..but I don’t feel as though it effects anyone around me.

So does this mean that if I have some sprayed on my neck and it gets smeared into my collar, will this be much less effective?

Also with the using on the skin with the benefits of circulation, could it also be that by having it on the skin it gets “mixed” with natural pheros being let out.?..or rather becoming “attached to”..?

It could be, yes. I try to spray to avoid clothing but sometimes its inevitable that you get some on the collar - So long as the majority of the dose goes on skin, its just a matter of adjustment.

And yes, collars and cuffs do often need particular attention in the wash to get the smell of degraded mones out.

On that note… Does it work as effectively in hair? Particularly on hair that doesn’t touch skin (i.e. long hair, or hair away from your neck).

Some pheros work well on short, clean hair with no other hair products, yes

Thicker/longer/more voluminous hair is more of a problem as it can never get enough body heat to diffuse well -so it only becomes viablein a more limited range of warmer conditions.

**But** , you need to avoid using anything containing Androstenone or that breaks down to Androstenone (A1, Nols etc) on hair because this phero can bind very strongly - needing a lot of scrubbing with hot soapy water or a shave to shift.

[Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) is about the only consumer product that is completely safe to use on hair.

will it work on hair? yes very well on VERY short hair, if it’s close enough to the root to get heated up. Part of the function of hair is to diffuse pheros.
The problem with hair is you cant get it out, and that is a very big problem.
TAA / Shine completely wears off after like 2 hours so that one is not such a big deal in hair…otherwise avoid.

I have had success with putting pheros on a wool sweater, which is made of hair, with nothing else on underneath so the sweater is close to the skin. Then take the sweater to the dry cleaner, or wash it by hand at the app point with dish soap. This actually works really well, but cleaning was too much of a hassle.

Putting pheros on skin and then shower works so well, that’s all I do now.

Yes, pheros can work on clothes that fit tight enough to get all your body heat but the results are still more limited by environment compared to skin - although in a steamy club etc, its quite viable.
