Hello all,

We have a bunch of essential oils at hour home. I love them! Is there any information as to whether they have any effect on diffusion (of pheromones)? Do they inhibit, enhance, or are neutral). I prefer to use them as my ‘scent’ (by the way, my neroli oil smells quite different than the scents of the to-go bottles I just received today).

Most pure EO’s smell more when concentrated then what they smell like diluted down into a perfume.

How they work with your mones depends on how well each scent diffuses, its ability to bind with other molecules and its sillage.

Diffusion occurs when heat from your body lifts molecules into the air in its attempt to regulate your body temperature. Some molecules weigh more then others and this effects the rate of diffusion. So you would have to experiment a bit to see which ones diffuse well for you and which ones dont.

Sillage is the vapor trail left by some scents. Some have more sillage then others and again you would have to test to see which ones work and which ones dont.

Some EO’s bind to other molecules easy and some dont. You want something that binds although if you bought your mones here scented the binders are already in there so you dont have to worry about that much.

[Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) oil should be fine, its very diffusive and has a calming effect. I wouldn’t mix it in with your mones from here but using it along with them or as your cover is fine.

Thanks for this awesome explanation. 🙂 Between experimenting for finding my sweet spots with my new [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) , I guess I’ll be experimenting now with the essential oils too. I feel like I should be wearing a lab coat 😉
