hey guys its been a lil while since i been on…had some blah crapola happen in my life but yay im back u get to deal with me again lol.

hers a off topic question though…

couple months ago i had my eye exam and a fitting for contacts yea? well that cost me a butt and two quarters _expensive im not in school right now so no insurance long story_ but now i need a backup for if i lose my contacts during day 8if you wear them then sometime yes you know u lose em…sneeze hard…get into a boating accident…the whole nine yards\*

so my question is for all you glasses wearing pheropeepers…how much on average is a fitting for glasses? or is it nething just go in and let them fit you for glasses there selling?

thing is i dont want glasses at my local eye guy person place…im looking at some athletic adidas designer ones i like and yet i need to know how much a fitting is so i can get the numbers so i can get the glasses and be happy =].

thanks!..lol hope someone understood nething i said 😃

I have had good luck finding a nice lady to help pick out glasses, typically the sales person.
Let them put you in a set of frames before you pick or show what you like, let them know what colors you like. Remember they see and do this for people every day, so hopefully they know what you would look best in.

Find options you would like, (flexible frames, spring hinges, basic color) then shop around, let the people in the different stores help you pick out frames, see what different suggestions you get, this is unless you have a GF or wife to pick out the frames for you, typically you don’t see your glasses so those around you will need to help find the right style for you.

Tips-
Don’t go to trendy if you don’t want to get new glasses next year. (big red clown frames or something off the wall) I tend to stay conservative with gold, copper or silver to match your complexion. but some guys wear the black plastic Military frames well.

I would ask if you could walk around in a pair of frames for a bit, 20-30 minutes, sit in the drivers seat of your car, act like you are taking notes in class, basically see how you look through the glasses doing different things you will normally do wearing them, (I got a smaller set of frames last time, and had to take them back because I had to move my head all the time to see, very annoying) (yes, they won’t have lenses to help you see so wear your contacts, but offer the store person to leave your Drivers license or some collateral with the shop if you are leaving and returning and let them know what you are doing, it will save time and headache in the long run)

Remember size and shape should match and blend your facial features.

Check on warranty, options packages(anti-glare, lightweight polycarbonate lenses, scratch resistance coating, etc)
