Is there anyway to find out your blood type without having to go to the red cross and getting poked by a needle ?

Well either way blood has to be drawn from somewhere whether a clinic, hospital, or a blood donor van. If you ever have any regular blood tests done at the hospital you can find out what you are.

Nope not on birth certificates, sorry. You could always join the military, they always test blood type and put it on your dog tags.

What Jim said - not on birth certificates. They do not routinely test babies for blood type unless there is a problem.

So the choices are:

Blood sample kit above. Lancets draw very little blood. Relatively cheap and easy but not a whole lot accomplished beyond typing your blood.

Join the military. Learn your blood type. Travel to exotic new locations and meet new and exciting people who may or may not try to kill you. Good news is that you get to shoot back. Not many jobs pay you to kill flaming arseholes.

Give blood to the Red Cross. They will tell you what your blood type is when they send you your donor card and you get to eat cookies, drink juice, maybe meet a cute nurse or phlebotomist and save a couple lives. Way cool.

Oh - I almost forgot - suffer some kind of traumatic injury - the ER will type your blood before they give you a transfusion. Not good. Not at all. Trust me …

From the Life Extension Foundation, it is $41.33.

You receive the results in the mail.
