# First purchase: Ammo and Instant Shine, or is MX301 fine for a newbie?

I am new the the whole pheromone world and am about to make my first purchase. I have been looking around the website. I am looking at getting Ammo and [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/). I will be using them out for attraction mainly at parties and bars.

However I have come across a lot of people giving really good reviews for MX301, saying it has worked better then ammo. I know this is a experimental one but would it be appropriate for a first timer to try, or should I stick with Ammo and then try that later on.

Also, I know A314 is supposed to be awesome but I want to give pheromones a try first before I spend 100 bucks on one bottle. So would MX301 be appropriate for a newbie to try out. And does this seem like a good starting point to jump into pheromones with (either the mx301 and Instant Shine or Ammo and Instant Shine) ?

Stick with the [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) so you can get more bang for your buck. An MX301 is 5 mL at $28 so it’s pretty expensive and really you’re only going to get a couple of weeks out of it. Where as you could get the same size Ammo for $11.95. Not to mention that MX301, as you know, is experimental and therefore there is a possibility it might not come back.

Ammo will make you smile anyway and this is coming from the guy who invented MX301 🙂
