Hi I posted this problem on the “which copulins” thread, but I thought I should create a new thread. I tried eow for the first time yesterday. I def have to use less next time. As I’m pretty sure by the strong reaction of one guy who was about 8 feet away from me that he was surprised by how unpleasant I smelled and he quickly walked away from me. Most people were happy to look at me from a distance, they stared and liked what they saw, but seemed uncomfortable when I would be a few feet away from them. They would glance at me several times and would leave the area. These negative reactions were all from guys. Normally I’m not the type of person anyone tries to get away from, most men seem happy when I’m near them and a few women seem annoyed. I’m not intimidating and many men go out of their way to get close to me and get my attention. It was the opposite yesterday. I applied the EOW around 1pm and I could still smell it last night when I went to bed, regardless that I waited 30 mins to apply perfume to cover it. This morning when I showered, even though all I could smell was the EOW, it was like the layer of perfume was really coming off my wrist and the eow wreaked bad almost like a faint chemical skunk smell. I only applied about 1/2 a drop to one drop on each wrist. Any thoughts on what went wrong or what I can do better? I want people to enjoy being around me and feel comfortable enough to talk to me, not run away from me. I asked my husband to smell my wrist before I left. He said I smelled good, like chocolate, that I had never smelled that way before. Please help. ---

What kind of environment were you in ? It may not have been the smell but I kid you not most people like the scent when worn by another. I can honesty say I have worn over 10 drops of it uncovered and people would compliment on my scent. I thought I smelled like butt cheese myself. However when in certain environments I do notice stares without approaches. Places where wives are around. No guy wants to get caught gawking by there wife. Certain guys at work. Usually the ones who are more conservative in behavior will stare then walk away. None of them ever commented on me smelling bad. You can try a different perfume. What did you use to cover it. Wait 15 minutes next time not 30. It shouldn’t hurt to wait 30 but its not necessary. Do you smell it on your self ? Sometimes when your nervous about the smell you look uncomfortable and if you do people wont approach because it makes them uncomfortable as well. These are just some thoughts on what could be happening. Keep them in mind and give it another go. You hubby didnt notice anything and if he didnt most likely they didnt notice the smell either. Hi Tisha, I wore it to an indoor pool. I normally get great attention there but it def seemed like at least one guy thought I stank and a few others who seemed to like me would get so uncomfortable when I was a few feet away that they would leave the area. Some would be all smiles until I would walk by then they seemed almost stunned and the smiles, the smiles would fade, they would turn around and act like they didn’t see me anymore. I have never had reactions like that in my life, and so many of them at once. I didn’t think my wrist smelled bad. I used a rose perfume to cover the scent. I went back to the pool the next day without any cops and all was back to normal, guys trying to get close to me again. At least I went at a time I normally never go when I used the cops. I experimented at home today. I waited the fifteen minutes and then I sprayed some orange scented perfume. I think I smell good. My husband said I smell good and very clean. Will try it again at the pool tomorrow and see what happens. ---

I wouldn’t wear cops to an indoor pool area…it tends to be a very humid environment which would get the cops wet again so it will stink even if you did allow for proper dry-down when applying. Also, if you get in the water a normal perfume will wash off a lot easier than the cops leaving you with very little cover scent… ---

LOL Hopefully those guys will never see me again. :o Would you wear them someplace where you knew you were going to sweat? Like to the beach on a hot humid day during the summer, even if you didn’t go in the water? How about jogging with a friend and you would definitely sweat? Would that kind of heat and body perspiration make the cops smell bad again? Thanks 🙂 ---

Hey Cindy, I had a negative first experience too though I think it may have something to do with what xiphoid said - a humid environment. I was not in a hot area, but I was sweating today. Someone suggested mixing EOW with lotion in another thread, and that’s what I did - I had a really nice smelling lotion (st. ives collagen lotion), squirted 2 big blobs of it, then mixed it in with abt 1.5 drops (about 1/10th of the whole dropper?) of eow. It really wasn’t much eow at all. But my parents thought it smelled like rotten wood (smelled more like vomit to me). I know I was sweating at times, and it really intensified the vomit smell. Fortunately it didn’t seem to make other people sick and I didn’t get any strange stares, but it did make me feel really self-conscious. EOW experts - what should I do differently? Should I switch to a better cover up scent? Would Gucci Rush (smells vanilla & musky) be a good choice? Or just increase the amount of lotion I used, and keep the eow dosage the same? Or keep using lotion, but try a different one? Should I not use EOW when I know I’m going to sweating?! I know it’s tricky with EOW so I have all the patience to test things out. Just don’t know where to start and could use some advice! Thanks!! ---

I often use the lotion trick, but never without using a cover spray of Pink Sugar. I consider Pink Sugar a must. It’s sweet and wont fade easilly like a body spray will. You can get it at Sephora in a small roll on bottle. Also, 1.5 drops is way too small amount for you. I generally use 7 drops at most. 2-4 drops is about my norm.. 1-3 for mild effects really. Sorry to say, but you will need to use a lot more. But you’ll get used to covering it. Aaaand… anytime you’re gonna sweat it’s probably not a good idea to wear cops unless you’re sweating during sex.
