> I have to admit, I’m very new to pheromones myself, and I am admittedly skeptical but unlike the OP I’m not approaching it from a standpoint of needing to disprove it. I’m actually planning an experiment of my own which would hopefully take the wearers personality out of the equation. I’m so curious that I’m going to spend my own money on it. For me it’s more a matter of testing what could be a potentially useful product to PUA’s more so than simply mocking believers for being “fooled” into buying snake oil.
> I know about where my game is and if a product or combination of products can give me a 10% boost then it’s worth the investment. I just want to make sure it’s the product and not a placebo effect. It’s simply a matter of approaching the experiment with healthy skepticism but still an open mind

I have an open mind on the subject too. I am not looking to disprove pheromones; I hope they work – what a wonderful gift to the world if they do! If they don’t I will be disappointed, I get saddened when I see people getting taken advantage of…

People sometimes mistake my tone because I am quick to point out that sometimes what we consider “proof” is, in fact, not necessarily the case. If a guy wearing pheromones goes to a bar and a woman talks to him at length, this might be pheromones at work. But it is far from proof.

My experiment attempts to remove placebo from the equation. Since the participant is well aware that not both of the bottles contain mones. Ideally there would be 4 bottles with 1 having mones but that would become pricey and much harder to journal.

BTW, I have been running several other experiments – this one just happens to require seasoned pheromone users.
