I now know what the FZ is like from a male perspective. A gal I used to work with, I became friends with. Now she works elsewhere but still see each other regularily. When I worked with her she was married and I never became attracted to her. Now she is single and is really hot for me. All her friends tell me she’s hot for me. We all know how a woman cannot avoid a challenge so as a result of my disinterest, she’s even more hot and bothered. She is beautiful, sexy, intelligent professional woman, yet I just can’t bring myself to go there. She’s like my sister to me.

They say one way to possibly get out of the Friend Zone is to cut communication with them for a period of time.Therby they no longer have that ‘good buddy of the opposite sex’ AKA ‘Emotional Tampon’ there to help them feel better.

In some cases if you go a few months or so with little communication it might possibly make them miss you and sort of reboot your relationship in a way.I guess the entire Gist of the theory is to not always be available for her.Have a life of your own,and don’t let it revolve around her/him.

Don’t forget people are far more likely to start wanting something they don’t have.If you’re there for them night and day whats the challenge in it for them?

Plant some seeds of sexual inuendo and then give them time to sprout and grow. Put your thumb in your pocket and take a few taps with your index towards your crotch. She’ll dwell on that for days and when she thinks of you that’s what she’ll remember.Tell her about a movie that you saw, was full of ups and downs, sometimes slow and sometimes fast but a very explosive and satisfying finish.

to be in the friendzone is nothing bad! It’s really a good thing! She likes you in all ways but without the sexual component! Well let me say you something which some girls may not like here, but in this way you can “park” some potential girlfriends! Because you always stay in contact! And just think about how often two normal friends become a pair!

But the only way to come out of this zone is just to grow you balls and escalate ;-); just in the normal way you do it with every girl!

my advice to you is and it will be hard to do … be nice but dont feed her attention. she will keep you in the friend zone because YOUR ALWAYS there. dont be there for her all the time when she needs you, your busy. dont return her calls right away or text. and rule one for texting 1 for 1 text. dont over text her. just treat her like she really doesnt matter that much to you , you like to be around her but you can do with out her. even if your not busy , tell her you are. women want what they cant have… and SHE HAS YOU. they want a guy who is exciting. and if your always busy it shows social status and excitement. and when you are around her just treat her like one of the lesser guys in your group. she is there but act like if she wasnt there it would be no big deal. but make sure to be nice about it and not a complete tool.

Don’t lie. _Be_ busy–even if it’s just household chores, errands, workouts, these are still things you need to do. Or turn off your phone. Women want a guy who can initiate social activities when they are in a relationship, not so much “what can’t be had.” That way there’s no coercing to “go out,” “join this group/activity,” etc.

_Don’t_ treat her like “she doesn’t really matter” or she might believe it and date someone else. Be yourself, just be a better self. Don’t follow a “rule” like “always wait an hour before returning a call/text,” but if you’re washing dishes or driving, wait until you’re done; wait until you have time to properly engage in conversation (this is showing respect, not playing a game). Sometimes this may be minutes, sometimes hours.

And learn your homophones.

Also, don’t follow the _exact_ rule of one text per her one text. Sometimes I get messages I just don’t know how to respond to…so I wait and think on it. It’s okay to initiate another conversation from time to time. Maybe keep it between 40-60% your initiation.

And DON’T just one word txt! If I get a “Sup?” from a guy I don’t know well, I really can’t think of what you might be interested in hearing; my standard reply is “nomuch”, 🙄.

LOL someone was listening to David DeAngelo when they texted you that.
He actually talks about how successful he was with texting just sup, but without the question mark.
The whole gist of this text was to convey that he was just saying “hey,” without needing any response from you..therefore not looking needy.
Also, he stated that alpha guys tend to greet each other with the “sup?” comment all the time. And strange thing is…they’re not really alpha guys, but almost all guys I test this on, will just say…“sup?”
I will go into work, and say…“hey” “How’s it goin?” etc. And always get the “sup?” response, even from a couple of really effeminate guys…LOL.

I don’t know what it is, but it seems to be used an awful lot.

Exactly. The key is _conversation_. Even a “how was your day” is a bit difficult to answer – I have to think “how much does he really want to know” that fits in 160 characters. Usually, I say something like “I got hit in the face with a baseball bat by my friend, but I didn’t lose any teeth!” (True story.) This incites a conversation, AND turns it into a funny/positive/joking thing (my nature–I don’t stress about too much), which everyone likes more than the whiny/negative stuff. 🆒

(See my remark, above, on how to start an _interesting_ conversation without “looking needy.” 😉 Also, there is a difference between appearing “needy” and acknowledging that humans are social creatures and you appreciate interaction with others. And for the record, “Sup” and all other lazy openings just look douchey. Guys who start with this as a message on my dating site get no reply. (I was getting dozens a day; I have no time to reply to all.) Guys who start with this IRL get minimal reply and NO interest.)

So you want “needy” gals. 😉

LOL oh I can tell you’re anything but typical. 😉
But then again, I tend to find anything but typical girls. The past 2 semi-serious relationships I’ve been in, they were like the only two girls in Vegas who hated chocolate. Also, very confident and at times aloof. Not needy at all.
No, I just figured it’d be an interesting experiment without forking over like [Chemistry.com](http://Chemistry.com) cash.

Actually opener/convo starter I sometimes use…

"You know, I was thinking the earlier today, some people don’t understand the difference between ‘how are you?’ and "how are ya?'. See, and be honest…when you say ‘how are ya?’, you don’t really want to KNOW, you’re just being polite. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I personally think that politeness is underrated. The problem is that some people just don’t get that and give the appropriate answer of ‘Oh I’m doing fine, and you?’. They wind up going into a detailed diatribe of everything going on in their lives at that particular point. And you can’t really say anything to them because…well technically you asked.

Now ‘How are YOU?’ is different. It’s more personal and real. You’re not changing ‘YOU’ to the lazier sounding ‘Ya’. And that indicates a genuine interest. It means 'out of all the people I could be talking to right now…I’m actually curious about how it is to be YOU at this moment.

…so…How are you?"

Usually gets me a blank stare for a minute before the girls sorta shakes her head like she’s regaining her bearings and then answers.

> LOL someone was listening to David DeAngelo when they texted you that.
> He actually talks about how successful he was with texting just sup, but without the question mark.
> The whole gist of this text was to convey that he was just saying “hey,” without needing any response from you..therefore not looking needy.
> **Also, he stated that alpha guys tend to greet each other with the “sup?” comment all the time. And strange thing is…they’re not really alpha guys,** but almost all guys I test this on, will just say…“sup?”
> I will go into work, and say…“hey” “How’s it goin?” etc. And always get the “sup?” response, even from a couple of really effeminate guys…LOL.
>
> I don’t know what it is, but it seems to be used an awful lot.

Then David D’Angelo is being bought by 75% of the guys here in PNW.

All I can think is that he’s txting brain dead bimbos with the ‘sup’ b’nez. The alpha guys I know, all do the “hey you, what’s good?”. I happen to like this one. It implies a little affection and the what’s good can always be met with “my snack” which has digressed into a little risque innuendo 😛 which can be fun and has the advantage of seeing how articulate, imaginative and quick a guy can be. With me, BIG POINTS if a guy can start a convo without the obligatory references to the Seattle weather sucking pattern. 😃

> Exactly. The key is _conversation_. Even a “how was your day” is a bit difficult to answer – I have to think “how much does he really want to know” that fits in 160 characters. Usually, I say something like **“I got hit in the face with a baseball bat by my friend, but I didn’t lose any teeth!” (True story.)** This incites a conversation, AND turns it into a funny/positive/joking thing (my nature–I don’t stress about too much), which everyone likes more than the whiny/negative stuff. 🆒
