With the advent of this article being made available to the public for free, I now have the full text of three peer-reviewed publications on human [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) available for no fee.

[Pacific Center for Sex and Society: From Fertilization to Adult Sexual Behavior](http://www.hawaii.edu/PCSS/biblio/articles/1961to1999/1996-from-fertilization.html)

Of interest to some of you will be the fact that even I initially bought into the marketing ploy that Erox/Pherin/Human Pheromone Sciences used (i.e., the human VNO).

I didn’t know then how far researchers would go to present false claims based on research that could not possibly be replicated. And there are plenty of people who still think that humans have a functional VNO.

James, can you fill us in on your working theory of how humans engage pheromones then? I’m curious as to what you have to say 🙂

I said a lot in my presentation at the Mensa annual gathering last summer. Here’s link to one of the 4-6 minute video excerpts from the presentation.

I talk about [human pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) conditioning hormone responses that are associated with the development of sexual preferences and sexual behavior. Of course I had some fun with the human courtship sequence in this regard.

Excellent I will be really interested in your view. When I watch it either later this eve or tomorrow I will return with comments. I’m excited about this 🙂

In case it’s too interesting, you can always wind down with the full text of the 57-page article/book chapter that was the basis for the Mensa presentation. [James V. Kohl: The Mind’s Eyes: Human Pheromones, Neuroscience, and Male Sexual Preferences](http://www2.hu-berlin.de/sexology/BIB/kohl.htm)

There is information that was used for my product formulation. For example:

The putative human [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/), _androstenol_, elicits changes in LH pulse frequency in women (Shinohara, Morofushi, Funabashi, Mitsushima, & Kimura, 2000).

They proposed “. . . that the metabolic pathway which results in a relatively high androsterone value is associated with sexual preference for females by either sex, whereas a relatively low androsterone value is associated with sexual preference for males by either sex (p. 210).”
