Hello! I’m a doctoral candidate at the University of California, Irvine. For a year and a half, I’ve been working really hard on a speed-dating/genetics study that examines (1) whether genetic-compatibility (via Major Histocompatibility genes) might play a role in whom we are attracted to, and also (2) whether birth control pills might reverse women’s genetically-based preferences in men.

I thought you might be interested in this, as this genetically-based attraction is thought to occur through our preferences for certain body scents over others! Birth control pills have actually been found in some studies to _reverse_ women’s preferences for males’ body scents.

**I wonder if any of you have suddenly become more or less attracted to your male partner’s scent after changing up your birth control method? Please share your experiences!**
