> The main active pheromone in [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) is A-1 (androstadienone). When exposed to skin bacteria A-1 breaks down to androstenol. Androstenol, in turn, breaks down to [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/). [Androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) must be sanded or worn off your skin as it’s too smelly for normal bacteria!
>
> The speed of the breakdown various according to application area but is primarily influenced by heat, humidity and presence and numbers of bacteria. Interestingly, this article (James V. Kohl, Michaela Atzmueller, Bernhard Fink & Karl Grammer) seems to indicate androstenol breaks down fairly quickly, only 20 minutes:

I’ve been using the instant shine and instant honesty mixes so far everyday (3 sprays per day) for the last 3 days but there have been some some nights where i woke up sweating because the heater was on too high. So this made me wonder, my major application points are my neck and hair, and so far my hair is really short which means that i can get -nols on my head right? (this is paranoia kicking in). So when the -nols convert to -none it sticks to my hair right?

Also, what are some good products that can remove -nols from the skin (ones that i don’t have to order online)?

Peroxcide and a cotton ball for skin applications.

Anti bacterial soap for all over body applications.

A shampoo that is designed to fight build up. All brands pretty much have one of those in the store. Look for Clarifying shampoo.

oxyclean for your cloths. 😉

Ditto.
Anti-bacterial soap and a GOOD shampoo for you and oxyclean for clothes.
Never tried the hydrogen peroxide but it has been mentioned often.

“The oxidizing capacity of hydrogen peroxide is so strong that the chemical is considered a highly [reactive oxygen species](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactive_oxygen_species).”

I use Witches Hazel myself, and it works great. I prefer it to hydrogen peroxide because it is an astringent and actually cleans the None out of the pores, instead of through oxidation. It’s also easy to use, and can be used on your hair, without dying it orange.

I just wanted to clear something up. alpha -nol will break down into -none through bacteria, but those bacterial are mostly located in your armpits and around your nipples. The numbers reduce significantly to normal application points.

There isn’t much a concern at all for alpha -nol to -none conversion during normal use.

I have yet to experience anything that would lead me to believe that any significant quantity of -nols is ever converted to -none with normal use.

As for your hair, start using Nioxin shampoo, and if you are hard core about your cloths by a small ozonator and put it in your closet. they make office sized (desk top) ones for about 120.
