Hey All,

I am a 47 y/o man living in the beauiful Cascade Corridor in north-western Washington State. A disabled veteran, I own and operate a private security firm, and though this business operates “behind the curtain” as it were it is nonetheless highly competitive and both the acquisition and retention of long-term contracts depend in large measure on first impressions and interpersonal dynamics. Almost all of our staff, from the sales team to individual field operators, are ex-military where the vast majority of them, including myself, were out on the “sharp edge,” and therefore our training and collective work experience tends to be long on aggression and short on sensitivity. In order to be competitive we have taken great strides to retrain our staff to deal more effectively with a civilian clientele, many of whom are performers and artists who require, shall we say, a “delicate” hand at times. I am pleased to say that I feel confident that my people are as courteous and professional as any in the business and more so than most, if I do say so myelf. However, I am always looking for an edge. The very nature of this business dictates that our clients are often spending protracted periods of time in very close proximity to our operators, whose very imperative requires them to make the client’s safety their personal responsibility and, if necessary, to physically defend the client by sheilding them with their own body. You cannot perform this function at a distance. We literally have an “arm’s length” rule in many situations wherein the operator is at no time to be greater than an arm’s length from the client; this in order that they are “grabbable” at a instant’s notice. So, in the case of a high-value/priority client, this can mean being within 3 feet of one another for periods up to 20-30 hours at a time. During these intervals it is imperative that the client feel safe and secure and that they trust the operator(s) implicitly, and so I was particulalry interested when I read that there were certain [pheromones](https://a314.com/), or combinations of pheromones, that can actually engender this kind of feeling in people. THAT, my friends, is the name of the game in this business. You can escort the client around in a column of Bradly Fighting Vehicles, all bristling with belt-fed heavy machine guns, but if they don’t _feel_ safe it is all for naught; they will take their business elsewhere, nevermind that we did our job and they are stiff alive. As a matter of fact the field is full of struggling firms whose people - many of whom I personally know to be some of the very best in the business - are still “projecting” force and aggression as they were trained to do in combat. This in the mistaken belief that the client wants to see big, mean, warrior-types surrounding them. One competitor does his door-to-doors in black Hummers exclusively. In our experience this is a mistake. Our clients want us to _look_ like nobodies, but then be able to transform into Rambo if/when they moment comes. They want someone they can talk to since they’re going to be sitting next them on the airplane for the next 13 hours. Some, though this is not often spoken of aloud in my circle, even want to flirt and play and therefore want someone suitable. I can’t tell you how many times “cute,” and “hot” shows up in client preference forms. (we actually added “attractive” to our checkbox list as they were simply writing it in anyway)

How I came to be here was this: I was recently perusing a copy of Science News and Review, a peer-reviewed journal showcasing cutting edge science and technology, and ran across an article on pheromone therapies being utilized in animal/livestock husbandry with a sidebar on human pheromone therapy. So I began chasing down more data and eventually ended finding pheromone forums, and among those this one seemed particularly legitimate. I have no time for hype or fantasy, and this form appears to take a more empirical stand (actually this and one other) than the competitors. So here I am!

I am VERY interested in any advantages that pheromones might garner my business, and as a recently divorced man (after 26 years of marriage and 5 children) who is new to the dating scene again - only this time around I’m pushing 50 (and disabled, though I am still ambulatory) and therefore seemingly invisible to attractive women 😉 - I am also interested in learning whatever potential advantages might be realized in my personal life as well. And then there’s the fact that I also simply find this subject fascinating and am eager to undertsand it better.

Having said all that I must also make clear that I know jack-squat about this subject. It seems a little pie-in-the-sky honestly, but I assure you all I approach with an open mind and a sincere desire to believe.

Ok, well I’ve waxed on about myself long enough so I guess I’ll stop here. I look forward to meeting all of you and learing from you.

~Op

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I am just a bit older than you though still married but you have me beat on the number of kids. We have a lot more in common though that we can go into later.

Work: Think A314 or IG. It all depends on what you want to do in a given situation. There is a thread in my signature block that talks about the difference. I use both but rotate back and forth between the two every 10 days or so. A314 will give you a strong alpha leader vibe. But it can come across as pretty strong for some personality types which can push them away and close down verbal communications. IG on the other hand creates a cool smooth calm alpha guy at peace vibe.

I use the A314 to heighten tha alpha male leader vibe but I use the IG to soften my demeanor sometimes as I can come across as intimidating to people. When I use the A314 iI buffer it with IH. IH ccreates feelings of trust and connection and can lead to deeper discussions as a result. The key thing is that the trust and connection thing offsets the the fact that A314 can come across as pretty strong - esp. i would think to some of the more artistic types you might be dealing with.

So - if your guys were in a situation where you wanted to come across as strong authority but needed your client to trust you enough to do what you said, A314 & IH.

But if your client was maybe female and it was not a stress situation (big public appearance lots of people pushing in close) then run with the IG to soften the rough edges of your people.

Also - send me a PM.

Excellent intro! - Welcome to Pherotalk! 🙂

Well, there is only one major phero that you need in this line and that is A314 in the oil base.

Exactly the sort of trustworthy, confident, capable/in-charge and high status vibe you are asking for. A314 oil settles to a very light scent (Akuto) and works far more subtly and over a far longer period than the spray versions, although if you want to try-out with a spray, the /b version is the closest in impact - but I’ve far more liking for oil in the professional arena.

I’ve done very well with it indeed and although not in security, my work does increasingly put me in close proximity to some fairly high standing people in the UK.

In less than an hour I’ll be working with a major name in the film industry - A couple of years back I would hardly ever have got near these guys!

Further modification of A314 effects can be made by adding some IH. Which greatly increases the trust and connection aspect and [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), which gives a more feelgood/fun/happy air to the mix - although again, as sprays, these are shorter acting and would need topped-up at least once to maintain concurrent activity with A314 oil. Again, both of these are lightly scented in Neroli (orange blossom) which fades to a background level after 30 mins or so.

Thanx both of you, Boss and Mobo, for your warm welcome. You guys both seem to have homed right in on my requirements for my field guys, and I will immediately look into your suggestions. I have a quick question, and keep in mind I know nothing so do not fear sounding condescending or “talking down” to me, _assume_ I know nothing: Often these situations are tense. Not so much for my people who are, to a man, rock solid, but for the client. Boss, sounds like you’ll know what I’m talking about if I say this is a definite “stressfire” environment, and the best shooters are good at best, fair shooters poor, in a stressire environment. So, my question is - since I am assuming that these pheromones function bio-chemically - how does the presence of the “Stress Stew” of epinephrine & norepinephrine, cortisol, HGH, dopamine, etc., in the bloodstream affect the function of the pheromones? Or does it? It would seem to make sense, at least when using pheromone enhancement in a sexual context, that many of the same components of the stress cocktail would also be present in the “target’s” bloodstream as the stress of impending sex does indeed mimic the fight or flight reflex, so I’m hopeful that I wouldn’t throw any benefit from the pheromones out the window in a tense business situation. Any insights appreciated.

Also, there was a second component to my intro: my newly-acquired, er… “single” status. In short, I’m on the market again. I’m an old dog, but my career has kept me fairly fit and I am definitely interested in marketing myself as effectively as possible, and I am MOST interested in the fairer sex still. Any suggestions on that side of the fence? 😉

Wearing these products does not seem to cause a person to produce less or more hormones themselves. With the exception of copulins which is a female product. Just a whiff of copulins will cause a male’s testosterone to spike in a matter of minutes. I do not know if you can say the same for a guy wearing a heavy 'none mix.

That being said, if you are wearing a heavy mix it could possibly add to a certain amount of mental negative or positive stress on the part of those around him. Which might in turn cause additional cortisol production etc. But it is not the pheromones themselves causing it.

This is strong enough that a heavy dose of 'none can cause aggression in alpha males and can either attract or repel females depending on the time of month. Attract closer to ovulation, relep close to or during her period.

As far as what to wear personally - i would say go with Ammo & A314 combo. There is a thread in my signature block about that one. You will come across as a sexy successful alpha male. At this point in your life that will help attract women.

IG as I have mentioned is good for toning down a strong presence. It can also have another interesting side effect. Given the cool calm vibe it gives off, in your case you would come across as younger to people around you. So if you were around younger women, that could definitely help unless you were homing in on the girls with daddy issues.

Thanx Boss, I appreciate your input. I was actually interested in how it worked going the other way, however, though now that I re-read my post I see I wasn’t very clear. No matter, I’ll re-post elsewhere as this probably isn’t the thread for it anyway.

Again, thanx to all for your warm welcome!
