Not exactly [pheromone](https://a314.com/) related, but can be useful in planning what to use…

I know that it’s hard to get out and “make things happen”. I know it’s hard to keep from getting nervous and brainracing while you should just go up and talk to that girl across the room. I know because I’ve been there. Now, I’m not gonna claim to be a guru about relationships or getting over irrational fears or whatever, but this is a trick I came up with that helped me break out of my super-sheltered shell and develop into a socially competent person.

Write it out:
We all think about what’s going to happen before it does. If we have a first or second (or any) date, we want everything to go right so we spend a lot of time leading up to the event thinking about how it’s going to go, what we should say, how we should act, what we should wear, even what radio station we should be playing in the car (funny story later). Anyways, instead of thinking it through over and over and over and over and… Write it out. Make up a good fantasy based on where your relationship is and write out how you want that night to go. Then do it. When we scrabble around all the possible consequences and reactions in our heads we don’t get anything decided and forget everything we thought of when we’re on the spot. This way, you’ve said what’s going to happen. Anything else, you will deal with without having overthought the whole thing. When you get back, write out what happened and compare notes. Something go well? Write it down. Something go wrong? Write it down then figure out how to fix it. If you feel comfortable enough, ask her about it (if you think she can answer it).

Also, using this, you can plan out what mood effect you are going for in your actions and select your pheromone mix accordingly.

The end result of this that I’ve found is that I’m no longer overthinking things. I can write it out in my head on the spot based on my experiences and I react well enough on the spot that I don’t need notes for situational responses. But the only way I got here is by doing this. To this day, I still take notes if something goes really right (favorite/hated song, scent, flower, food, anything to make things smoother). And to this day, I still screw up on occasion, but I haven’t had such an obvious faux pas that I destroyed any relationship.

Try it, if it works, congrats. If not, … then maybe something else. But you never know til you try!

Radio story:
So I have a badass custom sound system in my car, did it all myself too (yes I’m puffing my chest right now, I’m damn proud of it, it was hard work). Anyways, most girls love my car (2004 silver Trailblazer, like new) and sound system, and when I find what music she likes, I make a note of it. Now I’m not so cheesy to take and make a mix cd, some girls like that, others not so much. Instead, I’ll mix a radio station onto a cd or my ipod with that song/artist/whatever on it. Whenever she’s in the car, she hears what she likes and she associates that with me thinking it’s serendipity or something, most not thinking anything of it ever. Then when she hears it on her own, guess who she thinks of. Gotten lots of “Whenever I hear \<insert favorite thing here\>, I think of you.” and only one gal ever figured it out and was totally cool with it (she was into audio mixing herself).
