> Loooong ago … before you were born, E, 🙄 there were lots of discussions on Androstenol turning to none. Fact or fiction? None of the big companies never did the research.

M&M
Largely a myth I think in my experience. **Like MHarris said, I have never gotten any AndrostEnone-type ‘fear/respect’ hits from products like Spaceland or Scent of Eros worn alone (without additional -None) even many hours after high applications of these products when conversion should be an issue. Rather, the problem is that Alpha-Androstenol is fast diffusing and if you wore it with AndrostEnone, the AndrostEnone would stick around way longer causing you to possibly OD later when the Alpha-Androstenol is gone…**

What happens is that the alpha Androstenol is far more diffusive than [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/).

[Androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) (and some other [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), like [androstadienone](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/molecule-a/)), is extremely tenacious. The “spider man” of pheromones, it can stick to your skin for days.

The other end of the spectrum are pheromones like alpha Androstenol, and, especially [TAA](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/molecule-a/). They’re fleeting. They’ll disperse faster than the -none component, even with good fixatives to regulate their dispersion."

We’ve considered most of the common problems plaguing the bulk of [pheromone](https://a314.com/) brands, and invested much time and effort in working on ameliorating these issues. There are several systems in place to to take care of this. Tricolosan has been a fad for awhile in antibacterial products, but it may be on it’s way out. There’s some concern about it causing…

"…I don’t think [TAA](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/molecule-a/) is thought to convert to much of anything.

It’s mostly alpha-androstenol which is theorized to to convert to [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/) by way of a) oxidation (catalyzed by what on the skin? metals?), and b) coryneform bacteria on the skin. Much more more likely. (i.e., the bacteria would “eat” the Alpha Androstenol, and excrete the stinkier [androstenone](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/))

Our spray products have antibacterial elements compatible with that carrier. They might inhibit bacterial conversion, at least in the short run.

With the oil products, we don’t have the same antibacterial elements, but we do choose essential oils that are know to have antibacterial elements.

**Honestly, I don’t see much of what I’d call “conversion” with our products. Even with Spaceland, an extremely HEAVY alpha-androstenol product that doesn’t contain our typical mix of antibacterial elements, I never find myself becoming an unlikable, edgy mass of androstenone ([Turn Up the Heat – Sensual Pheromone Spray Cologne for Men - Alpha A314](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/)) over time.**

With something like A314, however, I’d say that the evidence is there that my body definitely reacts to create more of it’s own pheromones. My armpit odor get noticably heady when wearing it after a period of abstinence.

Something like that, may, in fact, be a substantial part of what many people have referred to as “conversion”. i.e., they wear something that their own body reacts to, making more their own pheromones in response."

> Hi. The product you used last night (Lure) displayed almost text-book properties of straight androstenone, not converted androstenol. It was so text book, in fact, it was uncanny. It’s also very rare that properly treated androstenol converts to any significant degree. There’s very little conversion with [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/), for instance, unless you spray it in area rich with corneyform bacteria (such as an armpit).
