I’ve had trouble with people getting allergic reactions from [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/). I get major headaches from it. At first, I was thinking “just cut back.” But now I’m wondering;

1. What is it in Ammo that causes these reactions? The none? Or something else? Do I have to make sure other mixes don’t have too much none? Because A314 doesn’t seem to cause problems for me.

2. Ammo seems to cause hella problems with women who have PMS. It also gives me hella headaches. Would Androstadienone/IFM counteract this? or would that be working at cross purposes.

Your headaches are probably a reaction to the scent, not the pheros - I don’t do well with it either and can’t wear Ammo in F21 for a whole night without beginning to feel unwell. Now that F22 scent is no more, your only other option is to try a custom order in a different scent.

How many sprays do you use on a typical occasion and have tou done your sweet spot testing to find the most effective dose for Ammo? Another option is if the number works out, you can use the 2x/heavy version as it has a higher concentration of pheros for the same amount of scent. However, I’d still suggest you go for a different scent as I found that only reduces the problem rather than getting rid of it altogether.

Yes a womans none response varies across her cycle so adding-in some A1 might help. IFM is long gone and won’t be coming back, so I suggest you read-up on the various A1 threads here so you understand the situation with that phero and its use.

I have to agree with _Mobocaster_ on this one - I think you are allergic to the scent. I myself have the “Heavy” version and I only use 1 spray so I can stand it.

I would definitely ask if you can get a different sent as a custom order.

I’d gotten 2x. A single spray is too much for me. Good to hear it’s the scent and not the active chemical.

You can downgrade it to Lightly Fragranced through Mens Fragrance Customization, that should correct any issue. Most commercial colognes do the same to me.

The first few times I wore Ammo, I had a slight headache. After about a week of using it, the headaches stopped.

Even if that were the case for me, other people sneeze when I put it on…

I’d consider getting a fragrance free bottle with accumulated points, though I’d rather spend on something new.

Fragrance free is not a good idea - Pheros need a scent to diffuse effectively and the mones in Ammo do need a cover scent. Go for 6% in something that dries light like [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) if you must but you will probably still need to use another scent you can tolerate as a cover.

Fragrance free is not going to diffuse well for you even covered with a cologne. The binders are in the scent pack.

Its not the mones or these people would have problems with allergies around humans particularly male ones. Lots of people are having trouble with the current scent of Ammo. Scent is very subjective to peoples likes and dislikes just like taste. I wish they had more options for this one like they used to.

Binders?

Scent pack?

How much is diffusion going to be reduced? Do I just need to use more ‘stuff’ to compensate?

Thanks.

Quite a bit - You would need a fair bit more to compensate then you would run into the other problems associated with unscented pheros - The stink would become more prominent more quickly.

Sniff it/wear it and see.

People can be sensitive to individual chemical components in any scent - some are very complex mixtures, others not. Which can result in various symptoms including headaches, sneezing, runny eyes/nose, strange taste in the mouth, itching etc.

Sometimes symptoms will be apparent very quickly or can take several hours to appear, depending on the level of sensitivity.

I’m wondering about the intolerance to AMMO, even 1X and 1 spray, among men who are already allergy and migraine prone. By allergy, I mean take Benadryl and nasal spray 1-3 times per week. Took shots for several years.

My dad had migranes in college (and was also allergic to my mother’s perfume.) A coworker also had them in college, and had them recurr after I wore [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). If the problem really is the fragrance I wish they’d make their fragrances non-hypo allergic.

Personally I get mild head tension even from unscented -mones. But I haven’t zeroed in on the source yet.

I’ve stopped using [scented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/) except, possibly, for IS (dunno what’s in that, fragrance wise.) I just had a friend from work bail from a hike saying she had a headache since Saturday. Now that’s odd, but I’ve experienced something similar where I have a headache and IS actually alleviates it. And I don’t usually have headaches. I’m trying to nail down what’s causing this, or if there’s more than one cause. Does IS lead to withdrawl afterwards? I’d think I was crazy or this was all psychosomatic except that two people from work who don’t even know I use mones are reporting headaches. One said this after I ditched the Ammo…

IS is in [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) (orange blossom) along with the rest of the Instant Line 6% strength - Although the individual phero mixes do affect the final scent somewhat.

Yes, there is a “crash” associated with IS but it is usually only noticed on high doses and repeated topups - You end-up feeling a bit tired/drawn and can get a headache. Usually a bit of rest plus some decent food and non-alcoholic/re-hydrating drinks helps to offset recover from a crash. It is not however a withdrawal. Prolonged exposure to high-dose nols can also leave you feeling a bit giddy.

Do you mean that Neroli is in IS? Not that IS is in Neroli? Thanks for the info.

I’ve definitely experienced a de-hydrating effect at one point putting some non-AD oil based pheromones on my skin. I was going to the restroom every two hours. (all my oil based mones go on clothes or cotton pads now.)

But that’s not what I’m referring to.

If I smell IS at times, that seems to relieve IS related headaches. Doesn’t that suggest some form of withdrawl? What evidence are you using for the assertion on that the “crash” is not a “withdrawal.”

I can notice this effect with one or two sprays, sprayed once in a day. And I hydrate plenty on those days, so I don’t think those effects are from dehydration.

What you describe sounds more akin to a “hair of the dog” and the experience of most posters who have commented on it is similar to coming down from too much coffee/energy drinks or a really bad sugar rush and it is fairly easily offset by rest and replenishment of the body’s electrolytes, whilst withdrawal suggests some form of physical dependency, which simply does not happen with pheros. However, psychological dependency is possible, which can trigger physical symptoms and if that’s the case, knock it on the head now!

Two sprays is not normally enough but it is the case that the strongest self effects to IS are most usually seen in the first few weeks of use, then you get used to it but at that dose, I’m more inclined to think a high sensitivity to a scent or solvent component might be a more likely culprit.

Well, yes. Quite so. And you can get withdrawal symptoms from coffee as well. And 'hair of the dog" has nothing to do with electrolytes at all.

If the problem is simply replenishing electrolytes, I have some mixed ascorbates on hand; magnesium ascorbate, potasium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate and zinc ascorbate which should correct the problem quickly. If they don’t, it suggests that the problem is not simply a loss of electrolytes. (And if you’re saying the problem is a loss of electrolytes rather than a depletion of cofactors, that also suggests some level of systemic absorption, since excessive urination to clear something from one’s system is the more likely cause of electrolyte loss. I’m not sure that electrolyte explanation is true, but if it is, those would seem to be the implications.)

The ascorbates should also help if the problem is a loss of cofactors, and I could add in some b vitamins if that’s the issue.

I don’t see that there’s enough solid evidence regarding whether pheromones can lead to dependence or not for it to be categorically ruled out, though.

I hope my rigor is not offensive to anyone here. Thank you for doing your best to provide information. I want to understand exactly how these things work in true reductionist fashion so I can control their effect and efficiently compensate for any downsides.
