# Headaches caused by pheromone 'overload'?

my boyfriend believes that he has the ability to conciously detect [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/). he can ‘smell’ any women who has gone through puberty, like his sister smells bad to him because they are related, and he can tell if a woman is attractive before he sees her because of her smell. he can also tell if a woman is aroused or angry from how they ‘smell’ to him, which is very finely tuned.

the problem is, when he is out in a club and around a lot of women at the same time he can experience ‘overload’ that causes a terrible headache. it was so bad last time we had to take him to hospital we were so worried about the amount of pain he was in.

he also has an extreme hypersensitivity to smells, for example he can smell sulphur in the air if it has been thundering and lightning, and if i have been wearing his clothes he can smell me on them for days and days..

does anyone have any incites? or experienced something similar? any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I can smell certain dieases on people and in my head I have classifications for different bodysmells, though it is hard to describe to another. I can smell different sorts of weather, like when it is about to rain.

I think it is moreso my awareness than my sensitivity that is unusual. I can get a bit ill from certain synthetic perfumes, but I never experienced that on [human pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). I do have strong self effect on the first use of a product, but after that can handle it normally. In any case, wild humans can smell pee and recognize who produced it, so we don’t naturally have a weak nose, it is just that modern cultures do not make that knowledge explicit.
