Like some others here I am curious to know if [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) work. At this point I know absolutely nothing. I’m in my 50’s and am thinking about trying pheromones to see how it affects the opposite sex when I wear it. And I want to see how it affects me when its worn by the opposite sex. Thanks! ---

Hi rico, welcome on board, plenty of skeptics come here and the majority realise that, yes , pheromones do work, when used properly. If you are expecting to spray something on and get jumped by the cheerleading squad then I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed ☹ They ‘grease the wheels’ they don’t drive the car. Thanks for replying. I’m a 52 year old man. Live on the east coast. My interest in pheromones is really out of curiosity. I want to know if they really work. I want to know how it affects me and also how it affects the opposite sex. I know very little about pheromones. Next to nothing I’d say. Here’s what I think I know. Each sex gives off a subtle aroma that’s at its highest level when that person is sexually aroused, for females it’s also higher when they’re ovulating. This scent attracts and arouses members of the opposite sex that gets a whiff of it. In animals the scent is much stronger. And the response to it is also much stronger. In humans the scent is very subtle and in most cases goes unnoticed by all except maybe those that are aware, sensitive to the aroma, and in close enough proximity. I know that it doesn’t cause a magical and pied-piper like attraction to all the females. LOL Thank God! The above is what I think I know. Now here is what I know I know. I know that I don’t know much and want to learn more about it. As for plans, if they really do work, I’m thinking of maybe me and my wife wearing some on our wedding anniversary. 🙂 ---

Hello Welcome to Pherotalk 🙂 You sort of got it, All mammals emit mones as a way of communication. Humans rely more heavily on our other senses but that doesn’t mean that we no longer use pheromonal communication. We do it every day without even thinking about it. Now there are many different types of mones, not those just for sexual attraction. Think of pretty much any emotion and there is a mone that will trigger it. Yes even fear, except that’s not for sale here LOL Emotion is what governs reaction in all humans and other mammals for that matter. Now here, we have of course the sexual mones.
