Once you get your order, you will want to try everything. In my personal experience, Instant Gentleman and Instant Shine are good products to begin with. I had my first noticeable hits with them. After trying them, i have no doubt they have an effect on yourself and in people around you.
I remember this two threads were vey useful to me at the begining, as people talk about their favourite combos.
What works: BUSINESS APPLICATIONS (sales, meetings, etc)
What works: CLUBBING/"PROWL" MIXES (eg sex: as in One Night Stands)
My personal piece of advice: As you say, keeping a journal will be of great help. You have a lot of new toys to try. It´s easier to make a big mess than putting them to work.
