Hello Everyone! I got my first order of Instant Shine and [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/) yesterday. I tried them out, 2 sprays of IS to my forearms and a single spray of IG to my neck. Went to the grocery store, didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary until I went into the checkout line. The clerk was in her early 20s and looked rather plain. She was slouching and seemed bored. When it was my turn to checkout, I noticed that her posture improved, and she had more lilt in her voice. By the time I was ready to go, she looked radiant and beautiful! She had a broad smile, put her chest out, exposed her neck, and flicked her hair. Wow! That was an incredible transformation! Later in the day, probably about 4 hours after application, my partner came home. (I’m gay and we had an exclusive relationship for 18 years.) We hung out in the kitchen while he told me about his day. He then commented if anything was wrong. He said I was quiet and seemed sedate. I said I felt fine, maybe a little tired, but nothing was on my mind. I also asked him the same thing because seemed very sedate, not as chatty. (He didn’t know that I was wearing pheromones.) I’ve been reading on the forums that IG can make men more introverted, particularly the wearer. Since my partner and I are introverted and down-to-earth to begin with, maybe IG was accentuating our introversion and making us more stable emotionally. So, I’m thinking that maybe IG isn’t right for me. We’re both relatively grounded guys and fall on the masculine end of the spectrum of gender behavior. I don’t think we need to be anymore grounded and secure than what we already are. But, since I purchased a to-go spray, I’ll finish it out and do more observations. Anyway, I got interested in pheromones because of a recent experience with another guy. I’ll write about that in a journal entry later. But, suffice to say that my partner and I decided to explore ethical non-monogamy. We’ve had lots of discussions about this, and we joined a poly support group. So now that we’re back in the dating scene, I want to explore using pheromones to make the transition a lot easier. We’re not looking to swing or have orgy parties. What works for us is having our own secondary relationship. I’m 47, soon to be 48, and he’s 52. We both have very similar temperaments when it comes to sex. We prefer to get to know a guy first, establish a friendship, and then be sexual. Typically this would be 3-5 dates in. (Yeah, this is very atypical for gay men! We also don’t go clubbing, but we manage to meet some really nice guys.) What might be good combination of pheromones for us at this stage in life? I know that gay men have similar reaction to male pheromones as straight women, so I’m assuming that the reports of women’s responses to men’s pheromones would be applicable to our specific situation and temperament. I’m also wondering if pheromones can be used to reduce feelings of jealousy and anxiety? We both had minor bouts of jealousy recently, but that was easily worked through with active listening. Since IG made me more sedate and possibly more secure emotionally, could it also be useful to prevent or reduce feelings of jealousy? Could someone from the poly community comment on this? Anyway, I was planning to get TUTH, possibly Ammo, IH, and another IS. (A314 isn’t available, so I’ll have to make do with out it. That’s why I got IG instead.) I’ll like to get feedback before I submit an order. Looking forward to reading your responses! ---

Welcome to the Forum HankBuddy, I will interject that I am not the professional to reference but I can direct you to some product phenoms I’ve encountered as I myself make my travels. While I am almost certain these gentlemen are straight (Sonni and DeeA),they are very knowledgeable and can direct you to the correct product for your age and objectives. From what I’ve read so far IH is great for enhancing listening for all parties. IO is best for social aspect, you may want to try TUTH with it to add a light sort of air and intensify the openness. These are just my opinions though…The pros may have the magic starter mixes for ya, but welcome…and please keep the posts coming. ---

Just a while ago, I was getting worked up about something, feeling angry. I could tell my thoughts were about to spiral out of control, so I thought about using IG and see if it would ground me. I gave it a squirt, and within minutes I felt calmer and more in control over my thoughts. The issue I was getting worked over then vanished from my mind. It became a non-issue. I think it has potential for personal issues as well as social issues! ---

I concur. I am not one to customarily get worked up about things, but I find with most mones I’ve tried I laugh off most issues and soldier on. I think there are great personal benefits to mones for ourselves as well as others. ---

hi hank, So I think you should start a journal and put your experiences there. You should still be able to qualify and get the 25GC. MB I think this should be on top of your list of to get items. I don’t have much experience with the gay side of [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) but I have seen more gay men on here lately and think you can find good information in the journals. Yes, I plan to start a journal once I create my plan of action on how to proceed with my experiments. I’ve been reading a lot of threads, and I’m getting a fairly good grasp on what I’d like to try out. This will be fun. I needed a new hobby. ---

Hi Hank! Welcome to PheromoneTalk! 🙂 IG indeed has been reported by some users to re-inforce their already introverted nature, because of its laid back, smooth gentleman vibe. Probably because they took the signal the wrong way. Because they are naturally introverted, they assumed that the IG effect is an introverted vibe, but it’s not. It’s actually confidence, a type of confidence that only IG brings. A “cool” attitude of a man who knows his place, what he’s doing, a gentleman free of unnecessary “extra moves” that is natural for young guys (that’s why some reported that when used by younger users, elders suddenly shows respect and appreciation to them. That’s why more IShine should battle your natural introvertedness and thus you can do well while with IG. Say 2 to 3 sprays of IShine to 1 IG… well, a test should help you get that comfortable number of spray for you. 🙂 For jealousy and anxiety, I think IShine + IHonesty can be useful for this one. 🙂 And oh! Thank DeeA! I already used the GC. More please. 😛 Yes, I agree about IG. It keeps me grounded, so I like it in that respect. Less road rage for sure. I’ll report more about it when I start my journal. I wasn’t noticing much of an effect with IS, but may be I need more to counter my strong introverted tendencies, especially if I’m using IG. I’ll try it by itself at higher dosages and report. By the way, I purchased IO (2x), IH (2x), [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) (2x), TUTH, and P100 (freebie). I’m hoping that IO and IS can help me be more social when I’m in large groups. I’m OK in small groups with people I don’t know, but with really large gatherings of mostly strangers, I tend to clam up. ---
