As a gay man who has been obsessed with fragrances virtually all my life, I am fascinated by this site and this topic. Wow! What led me here is kinda funny to me. You see, I’ve known about pheremones and their function for quite some time. Anyone remember a cologne called Realm ? I think I first became aware of pheremones when it came on the market. I never bought any, coincidentally, b/c it smelled too much like Old Spice. So disappointing. If only they could have incoporated pheremones into Dolce and Gabbana–or, hell, Tide would have been better than something that smelled like grandpa’s aftershave–I would have been in a rush to get some… Recently, I noticed that a new Dial for Men contains pheremones, and, liking the scent, I quickly put it in my cart. Now, for all I know, there may be no pheromones in it or possibly they’re some poorly engineered form, but I can tell you this: I love the stuff! And that’s what led me here: I started trying to find other products that contain mones and stumbled across “androtics” in a discussion forum. Now, seriously, it’s almost as if I’ve discovered a topic that’s entirely new to me. At any rate, one question I have is, when using a particular [pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/)–like Mystery Boy, for instance–is it still ok to wear a favorite cologne spray or oil? In other words, is it possible for certain colognes to clash with particular mone products while others complement them? In addition, I wonder, would a cologne or something similar mask the phermones, rendering them not as effective? I wouldn’t think so, but I’m not sure. Finally, another question: I live in the south, which is pretty hot and humid. After reading the product descriptions, I’m thinking an oil form of a product would not be my best choice. Am I right about this? I’m not sure, because I use cologne oils frequently and have been very pleased with the results. Oh, and a little about myself: as I stated at the beginning, I’m gay. Women have always “loved” me, been drawn to me, so I don’t need anything to enhance that. Anything that would help with the guys would be great. I like the sound of Mystery Boy, and it’s definitely one of the first I will try. I’m also very curious about Shine, Ammunition, and–this one’s a no-brainer to me–Heat things up. I want to try the others as well, but these are at the top of my list. And one more thing: this is my very first posting in any internet forum! Hi dtownguy, welcome to pherotalk 🙂 about your questions: Many user use colognes to mask the original fragrances of androtics products, myself included, there is no risk on spoiling the mones that I have heard of, but well you may never know the chemestry behind it unless you study it, You will do great with the mones, I am sure of it i would love to help and advise you the right products for you, but before that, I have to ask you to more questons about you. What is your personality type? Shy, outgoing, problem opening up,…? And what ager are you? After this you will also be entitled to the fre $25 gc, and also I will give the best advice I can. Hey welcome to the forums ! Sounds like you have a little background about mones existing and many who come here have either heard of it from dial magnetic, which i myself and many others use, or movies like oceans 13. But looks like you still have a lot to learn and the best way to do that is to ask questions here and keep on ‘a’ readin ! To answer your questions, you can cover the mones with you own cologne that you wish. The mones that have a cover scent of neroli is very light and dries down after about 15 minutes. then applying your own fragrance will take over the scent and you will no long smell the light orange scent. If you apply oil over the applications it may slow the diffusion rate since many times people will up their sprays and add an oil or lotion if they are going to be outside for extended periods of time. Just take note of that that the effects will be less if covered in oil cuz it slows diffusion. [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) is scented at cologne strength and should only be covered if you have a smell that is similar or will complement it; otherwise they will likely clash and be too overwhelming. Putting your own cologne over products does not slow the diffusion rate or break the mones down or do any damaging effects. Take note that mystery boy yes should help you with the guys and instant shine is great for keeping things fun, upbeat and social. The self effects are great too ! However when you say you want to try ammo and tuth, the main ingredient for attraction in them towards women is -none. -none can make other men aggressive towards you at higher doses and maybe someone else can comment further on this as i am only making a suggestion do not know from personal experience, but i think it is for men attracting women, and not intended for male to male attraction if thats what you are seeking only. Im saying this in the fact that when i wear TUTH its to attract women and it does not make me horny per se’ but may also be because im heterosexual? Hope this gets you started on the right foot ! and gives you a little knowledge to build on ! but dont be afraid to ask questions and the more you tell us about you the better we can understand and suggest the best products for you ! 🙂 ---

Welcome to the forum, dtownguy! I see you’ve already done a bit of research, and the other users have answered most of your questions. When you ask about using oil products, do you mean oil versions of [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/), or putting oil colognes over alcohol-based spray pheromones? I also live in the south and often opt for oil-based colognes when given a choice. I find that sprays tend to diffuse quickly and I end up having reapply my cologne throughout the day, especially if the scent is something light like Acqua di Gio. I have had great results here with A314, which is an oil-based product with a fairly light scent. However, if you want to wear an oil-based scent with pheromone sprays, I would simply suggest different application points, such as putting the oil on your mid-arm and the back of your neck, and the spray on your wrists and the sides of your neck. ---

very thoughtful response. thank you, re: tuth not making you horny: could you recommend some mones that do make you want to get it on with yourself? Well I read somewere that gay guys are receptive to none, so tuth would make you horny. Also I think p79 ( I am not sure if its p79 its one of the p mones at least) also make guys horny, but I think you would better start a thread asking it in the girls forum. ---
