Hi everyone!

I’ve been a member for a while but realised I didn’t actually post an introduction. So I’m doing it now…and I’ll try to be as candid as possible.

I’m 27 years old and am from Western Australia. I used to be very shy and insecure, and didn’t grow up very happy. However, I enjoyed my university years much more (despite having great difficulties with study) and through sheer will have become very confident. I’m fairly decent looking, and have no problems approaching people. I’m also an excellent communicator, have great manners, friendly, and can stand up for myself when I need to. However, I’m not independent as of yet. I live with my father, and recently quit my job (bartending) because there’s no work, and also because late shifts is starting to take its toll. What can I say - I gave it a go. I’m still looking for full time work, although have no direction at this point in time. So in some areas I feel great about myself, although in others I feel stuck.

However, being a typical Saggittarius, I’m also very honest about my shortcomings, and I very much feel the need to throw myself in to the world of [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/). I have ADHD & this has affected me my whole life. It’s hard to explain it all here, but it constantly affects and changes your energy/mood and well being, your consistency and levels of interest in things (unfinished projects, switching jobs or being fired, losing interest in things and people, especially when dating women) your time management, organisation and focus, impulsivity & concentration, and overall how you manage your life and go about your day/week etc.

It’s left me feeling quite empty, confused, lost, and spiritually bereft - and also like I don’t fit in - despite being great with people. It doesn’t concern me that I’m different, I think it’s a blessing. But there are many times I find living in the modern world a shallow experience, and form a hard shell around myself (which then becomes so difficult to knock down when you want to reconnect with your life).

Still - that’s my problem. You’ve got to make changes yourself. I try to be proactive and positive about my life. I am so privileged, but sometimes I feel something is missing from my psyche. I often feel so small and insecure, even though I can mask it or sometimes be lucky enough to forget about myself in situations, social or otherwise (primarily because I love being around people so much).

SO! Last year I took a course on anxiety management. I see a psychiatrist and take medication, keep very fit, and try to connect with friends and people as much as I can. I have a Bachelor of Communications & Media from last year (which I haven’t used yet), and am starting a few new things: martial arts, dance, a language, and also am keen to get back to cooking again.

I want to experiment as much as I can with pheromones to enhance all areas of my life. I don’t want to improve just one thing, or merely look at one area. In some ways I think I’m afraid of where my life is heading, and also afraid of commitment. I don’t want to be. When you are afraid, you become indecisive. And when you become indecisive, you drift along. It’s something I’ll have to work on day by day. I must admit I’m becoming so frustrated not knowing what I want from life. It holds you back and makes you overthink everything. On the flipside, I can do stupid things when I don’t think enough, and just jump in. It’s such a delicate balance, having a devil-may-care attitude while still making decisions that aren’t self destructive, and that benefit you.

I’m not looking for a quick fix. Like investing in the stock market, or improving yourself, or becoming a more enlightened and happier person, it requires backbone and constant commitment. So I’m here to try things, meet people, & help others!!

I’ve already done a mass of reading about the basics, especially for newbies, so I already know a lot. But I’m not one to think I know everything. In his much lauded speech, Steve Jobs made the remark, “Stay hungry. Stay foolish”. That’s my attitude, and I hope it will hold me in good stead.

This is a lot to write for an introduction and to many may seem surplus to requirements, but this is me. I’ve just received a bottle of A-314, and will start purchsing others. If any of you want to give me advice, please feel free!!! I’m a good listener, and you learn something every day.

Warm Regards - especially to Steve and Mickaelia!

Mike X

WOW hello and well done on such a FAB first post 🙂 I’d say you present as insightful, reflective and a person who conquers adversity as opposed to wallowing in their own mire.

There are people here with ADHD/other spectrum disorders and sure you will find us all supportive and helpful when it comes to mones, and just about anything else you care to post.

A314 is a good place to start. I always suggest IS as a staple for man and beast and [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) for luck 😉

Thanks for such an informative and insightful first post.

Hi there Mikey Mike, welcome to the mone forum! Don’t worry about being a bit looong in the intro. I also started out with a bit of a splurge in text as well. 🙂

Give them a go for sure and let us all know what happened with your mone responses. You’ve been bad with not starting up a journal and keeping us in the loop as to how you’ve been making those kind of changes in yourself. I know you’ll be rectifying that soon. 😃

Hey, tough feelings, negative self talk are always lurking for many, many people. I include myself in that group. Realizing that YOU have the ability and power to Make changes is powerful knowledge. Even though you may stumble, understand that it’s normal. You STILL have the Power to dust off and continue. Mistakes will make us humble and Powerful, if we learn from them. 🙂

Hope to see you around! 🙂

Welcome to pherotalk Mikeymike,

I am glad you finally decided to introduce yourself to us and wow, what an amazing intro.

Looking forward to hearing all about your experiences with these products.

We all did not start or somehow got some place in our lives where we were not too happy.

The strong are those of us who decided to do something about it, hold life by the horn and ride that bull

Good luck with everything

Thanks ladies and gents!

Here’s a bit of entertainment: today was my last shift at work. I gave notice to leave last week. Before heading in to work I wore two drops of A314 (one rubbed between my wrists and one on my adam’s apple). I used a dropper to do it. Any miniscule excess liquid on the dropper I just rubbed on the back of my neck & jawline. Then a few sprays of vintage Guerlain Vetiver - ready to rock!

Work: I was told to go to the storeroom to look for some red wine glasses. I was gone 20 minutes. The storeroom’s not the easiest place to find things, but sometimes I think it’s best to take a little longer to look for something that could be under your nose than give the place a half-arsed once over before wasting someone else’s time asking THEM to find it. Who knows? You can argue either way. I’m not the manager, so my point of view doesn’t count 😉

Anyway, I came back and the manager FLIPPED! I was sent home immediately. Granted, Friday is hectic and I was needed behind the bar at the time. I’m not concerned. I don’t know if the A314 had any effect, not making any assumptions. I’m guessing it was just because it’s such a stressful environment to work in. To be honest, I’m glad I’m not there any more.

I feel good wearing it though! If I’m tired - and sometimes I am because I don’t always find it easy to go to sleep - the self effect of the pheros is always going to be diminished. But if I feel OK & then put on A314, I can really get into the right mindset. The placebo effect helps for sure, but I find myself always sniffing my wrists, etc, and inhaling it. It really can be druglike…

On the way are Instant Jerk with copulins (thank CHRIST I wasn’t wearing that one before), Ammo, TUTH, and [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/)!

Stay happy everyone…

Mike 😉

Perhaps another point to mention is that the manager is quite aggressive - as opposed to being politely assertive. Almost like she has something to prove. Some people are desperate to be perceived as alpha. It is a stressful position but I’ve seen her job executed in far more impressive fashion.

I’ve only been wearing the A314 for a couple of days now, so perhaps it hasn’t truly kicked in yet, but I can see how androstenone could push someone like her right over the edge. That wasn’t my intention, but it’s pretty amusing all the same!
