Hi everyone, I recently found out about [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/) in my random web surfing recently and that’s how I ended up here. I would definitely like to try out some of the products and see how that goes. I’m a 32 year male, indian descent, skinny fram 5’9". Any advice for a newbie would be awesome! ---

The mens sticky section is a great area to begin reading and choosing products you might be interested in. Ammunition, instant shine, instant honesty and or instant openness are well reported products for new users and each would give you idea of what you can expect from [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) wear. Hello nomojo and welcome to the forum. I agree with inkling’s product suggestions. Though be careful to spray [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/) somewhere that will make it less likely for you to get the same effect. The back of the neck is usually good. Otherwise it will affect you as well. Not a truth serum type of affect, more like you’ve had a few drinks and are now more open with information. ---

Thanks all. I am pretty awkward in the dating scene and am basically looking for something that will help nudge me along in the right direction and it wouldn’t hurt to have something that will cause the ladies to take a little more interest in me than they normally do. Right now, I am considering [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/), Turn Up The Heat, and Instant Shine to start with. Do you think one spray of each of the above three would be a good combination? I also considered Instant Honesty, Instant Openness, and Alpha A314, but I can’t really afford all the above at once so I might save some money up and try out my first batch before springing for more. How do I apply the $15 gift certificate to my initial order? Or if I already go ahead and order, can I retroactively get the discount if I receive the gift certificate late? ---

SteveO the moderator comes by and spanks the GC onto you. Oh wait that’s me. OK first question CA = Canada or California? I also wouldn’t suggest TUTH. It’s not really an everyday kind of mix at all. It’s more likely to get you beat up than laid! Why not try [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) instead. It’s a great smelling -none product you can use everyday. Plus it won’t get people mad at you like TUTH. Also IFM has been reported by others to have a depressing effect on men. I highly suggest a to go size bottle if you are going to try. Wear it to the back of the head so you are not affected in case you have bad reaction. Ishine is always a good choice. You can get version 1.5 if you ask for it in the comments of your order which has Ishine built into Ammo. Blammo SteveO just saved you cash. Now go with some IH, or IO. Both have there little perks, but IO can lead to babble where IH can lead to TMI (Too much information). Regardless of what you chose let us know. We will be happy to assist you. Thanks steveO! So I am a little bit confused by your comment. Do you mean to say that if I get version 1.5 of Ammo, that it has a built in [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) in it? That’s great. If that’s the case, then I can go for version 1.5 of Ammo, and one or two of the others. I am really tempted by the description of IFM, but IO and IH seem interesting as well. Let me think on this. If anyone has anecdotes of what has wored best for new users I would appreciate that. ---

yes v:1.5 of Ammo has TAA built in which is the main ingredient of Ishine. Good stuff! ---

Berkeley, eh? I’ve only been there a few times. My usual stomping grounds are in SF, but I hear that Berkeley is a fun place too. I just love SF so much! ---

Went to several of Tops Big Block Party on New Years. Been to DV8 but hear it’s closed. Hung many nights in “The Elbow Room.” Yup just a stones throw away from Berkeley. ---

The DV8 is now called The Temple, and it’s actually a pretty good nightclub. I like the Elbow Room as well to hang out. Haven’t been to a Tops party yet, but I suppose it’ll come around at some point. I love this city!! Thanks for sending me the gift certificate. I tried to place an order but I had trouble with the website when I try to register after checking out my shopping cart. Once I full out the profile and hit “continue”, it just sits there. It might be some javascript error. I tried this in both Firefox and IE. Am I doing something wrong or do you suppose there really is an error? ---

Sweet, I was able to place my order. I went with the double strength version of Ammo (I also requested version 1.5 with [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) built in). If I feel any tangible difference, I will be sure to come back and try out more of the products.
