I am 29/male and interested in the subject of [pheromones](https://a314.com/) and do not feel like I know enough to know what is effective and what is a placebo, or what the side effects are, etc. So I am posting here to become more informed and hopefully find clinical studies on what works and what doesn’t. I love the subject of evolutionary psychology and reducing human behaviors to controllable, scientific studies because I find myself empowered when I learn those secrets and feel like I have an inside edge that most other people do not. Pheromones are naturally an extension of that philosophy. So my goal with pheromones is mostly to learn about what kinds there are, how they work, which ones do work and which ones will help me get dates. I’m not really looking to get laid in clubs, I am more interested in approaching women on the streets and getting them to agree to a date. I don’t know if you use different pheromones for those two situations. Edit: after doing more research here I think Alpha Androstenol is what I’m interested in as I am more interested in flirty conversation with strangers than overt sexuality. This site kicks ass, I’ve never seen a site break down the different pheromones or their effects. ---

Hello Juche! Welcome to Pherotalk! I just got started here a few weeks ago, for a similar purpose as you: I wanted to know if these really worked. As you probably read, they give you a $25 gift certificate to try them out before you really need to commit to buying anything. This really enticed me into buying. Now, I recently got my first shipment of pheromones from the store, with what they’re supposed to do: [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/)- increase quantity of conversation Instant Honesty- increase quality of conversation Instant Shine- Make you/others feel more confident, happy Now, I haven’t gotten into true experimentation yet, but I’m seeing subtle changes in people that I haven’t noticed before. I think it’s very much a “see it to believe it” type of thing. The three I listed are all “social” pheromones, meant for causal conversation and hanging out, nothing too serious, as far as I could understnad from the descriptions. I suggest reading up on the pheromone “Alpha A314,” and see if that’s to your liking. If not, I’m sure people around here would be happy to help!!! ---

Are you wanting something to help you with work or getting more respect? Are you wanting more confidence? Welcome to PheroTalk, Juche! The answers to probably all of your questions and inquiries can be found about the forum. It would take pages and pages of typing to answer them in detail here. Luckily, those pages have already been typed. They’re called PheroTalk Pheromone Forum. If you’re looking for clinical studies and articles, there is a section of the forum devoted specifically to abstracts and studies. You can also try reading books on the subject, such as Scent of Eros by James Kohl, and others. Perhaps try a database such as PubMed. Evolutionary psychology is very interesting, though I don’t know if I agree with some elements of it. Still, pheromones can definitely give you an edge, whether the entirety of the theory is valid or not. As for your intentions: women in clubs are often looking for casual encounters. They’re on the prowl. Women on the street, though sometimes in that particular mood, and desiring of such an event, are unlikely to admit it to a stranger even if they are. I wouldn’t go for approaching women on the literal street so much as inconspicuously following them into coffeeshops and perhaps using that as a way to strike up a conversation. All kinds of situations can be turned to your advantage. For such purposes, I would recommend Ammunition, an attraction mix designed to create attraction and attention. I am not sure where I fall on the introversion/extroversion scale, I tend to be in the middle. However I can be outgoing if I need to be. Work is fine so I don’t need help there. I am looking to find a way to get women to be more open and comfortable with my approaching them. Now that I’m out of college and in the real world I miss having the built in social network you get from living in a college town and being forced to socialize with endless hundreds of people. So I want something that will make women more receptive to conversations I initiate. ---

I would definitely suggest you try Ammo and IO 🙂 [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) is another good one if you want more confidence. It also helps put you and others around you in a better mood. It give you a happy glow about you that people find appealing. I would suggest Ishine and A314 for interviews, A314 will give you a more respected capable alpha vibe. While Ishine does sometimes have self effects its more for signaling others. It gives a sense of well being and upliftment. Draws people to you by conveying some charisma and warm charm. Keep in mind A314 gives a powerful signal and you will need to take the lead with this one. In interviews or job situations it is slightly different because we all have to interact at work but socially women will wait for a cue before they approach the alpha. If you have questions just ask. If you understand something, you can change or affect it. ---

Thank you for clarifying that. People have phobias about mones to begin with so “control” is not a popular word in the pheroworld. Most people have misconceptions about mones and are afraid they can control others and it causes some fear so we stress that they just influence. 😉 ---

I just love taking the guesswork out of life by learning whatever I can about issues that affect me on a day to day basis. Isaac Newton once said he ‘stood on the shoulders of giants’ when he came up with his ideas, and we are standing on the shoulders of giants far bigger. We have all this information but we don’t use as much of it as we can to get a decent quality of life. I bought some Pherlure from another website a few days ago and just bought IS, IO, TUTH and A314 via this site. They should be delivered soon. I tried the pherlure today and it made me feel very alpha and very self confident. However that is not what I am going for. I have worked very hard to become a fairly serene, centered person. I have tweaked my meditation and nutritional regimin to help me achieve that goal and I am happy as a person who is fairly go with the flow and doesn’t seek to be the center of attention. Being a dominant alpha male really isn’t what I’m into. I like the fact that I can use chemicals to become one and the fact that in some situations it may be called for, but its really not in sync with my personality. I think I will get alot more use out of the instant shine and instant openness than the A314 and the TUTH. I am thinking of looking at Come talk to me and/or instant honesty too. What I’m mostly looking for is ways to break down the social barriers between myself and others more than becoming an alpha male. I’m guessing pheromones in the androstenol family are what I’m looking for. This is a newb question, but if you find a decent combo of pheromones can they be used daily as an actual cologne or does using them too often cause negative effects on the user or the people around him/her? Does the brain grow tolerant of pheromones? ---

I just got my order in today. There were some problems because I ordered a product that ended up being sold out, so they gave me a gift cert to use to buy it next time I make an order, which is fine. They also threw in a to go bottle of instant honesty, which is highly appreciated. I think tomorrow at work I am going to try a spray each of instant shine and instant honesty to see the effects.
