My name is Laura, and I’m a 20 year old female from Western New York. I’m in my junior year of college, majoring in English. However, I’m definitely a closet scientist. I love biology and genetics, and getting into the nitty-gritty of what makes us the way we are. Before today—actually just a couple of hours ago—I really hadn’t given two seconds’ thought to pheromones. A new lingerie shop moved in downtown, and when I checked it out this morning, I fell in love with their “pheromone lotion”. Sounded like a gimmick to me, but I bought it because I loved the scent. Plus, it makes me sparkle like an exotic dancer! …Or a sparkly vampire. (Reconstituted Andronone is the only thing on the list of ingredients that sounds even remotely like a pheromone.) However, the pheromone concept did strike a chord of interest, so I began doing a bit of online research into the subject. Well, I’ve been sitting here for hours, hunched over my keyboard. Most of my searches have brought me to this forum, which is the main reason I am here now, introducing myself. I’ve been at my computer for a while, but still I feel that my knowledge on the subject of pheromones is close to zero. Needless to say, though, I am _ **fascinated** _. I feel that a whole world of possibilities has just opened itself to me, and I will likely spend the next couple of hours looking through these threads. (Instead of doing homework. …Oops.) For years, I’ve been known as “the quiet girl”. I’ve always been more of a silent analyzer than a speaker. When I’m around close friends, I’m loud, rambunctious and open. But when I’m with strangers I tend to be more of a shy listener. I would love to test out some pheromones, and see if there isn’t a way for me to mix the two halves, and allow myself to be open in any situation I encounter. Also, not surprisingly, I have horrible anxiety when it comes to public speaking. Are there pheromones that have a calming effect that might help me with this? Thirdly, I am completely comfortable in my skin. I don’t wear any makeup, ever, and guys seem to like that. But let’s face it, we ladies are always looking for a little extra _oomph_ when it comes to attracting the, um, _ **un** _fairer(?) sex. So, I’m also quite interested in that area of pheromone research. (It is what brought me here in the first place, with my shimmering pheromone body lotion, after all…) Those are my main interests, but I’m looking forward to experimenting with all sorts of [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/). Hi there Laura. Welcome on board. Grat introduction. I guess it instantly qualifies you for a 25$ gift certificate. I also tend to be a quiet and analytic person when sourounded by strangers. I guess it´s easier to be yourself with close friends. I don´t have any experience with women´s products, so can´t give you specific advice on what to buy or how to use it. However, there are many advanced users who are women and will be more than eager to help you with that. If you are interested in research, you are in the right palce., This is by far the biggest pheromones forum on the internet and there is an enormous amount of information contained in hundreds of posts. Get familiar with the search functions, as it will be very useful if you stick around. If you have not already done it, i would suggest you to read all the sticky threads in the women´s section. Hey Laura! Im just stopping by to say hello and welcome to the forums. You will soon find out, if you haven’t already, that the members of this community are wonderful! I too am a new follower of pheromones and am hoping that us new folks can help each other figure out more about how pheromones can help with our lives. However, with the guidance of the more experienced people, it shouldn’t be too difficult. When I read the description of your personality, it was as if I was reading about myself. Besides from the fact that we are both young and in college. Unlike being with close friends, around strangers, I tend to also be a quiet listener and usually just lets things come to me. [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) is a product that I came to in order to assist with bridging the two halves between friends and strangers. It might also be of help with the anxiety problem. Being comfortable with one’s own skin goes a long way and im very happy that it applies to me too. Of course, like you mentioned, nobody minds an extra oomph! From what I have learned in this forum, Instant Shine does just that; It gives an extra oomph. It has also been noted that self-effects includes an increase in confidence which could also help with anxiety. And don’t forget to read all the stickies including how to start using them, because there is a small learning curve, and you do need to test them individually to find your “sweet spot” before combining them.
