Hello All, I am 42 and married,I am your average guy 6’+ the kind of person most people dont notice except when they need something. I found this site on Google doing a random search and thought why not take a look. I work in IT (Computers) and I have been passed up for higher level jobs. I am smart but not one of the gang. The gang relies on me alot but I dont seem to have what they have. The people I work with have worked together for a long time and I am the outsider. I think highly of the people I work with but Iam not sure what they think of me. I’d like to know if some of the products listed here might work for me to get these people to open up a bit and maybe I can move up to being a Network Engineer which is what I know best. I’d also like to try some of these products with my wife (a little fun after 20 years together and the kids are gone). That’s me in a nut shell Work and Family Thanks ---

For the respect/status issues I would say A314 sounds your best bet. Check that out and welcome. Matt ---

[Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) to spark conversations and a314 has a rep that it establishes a “leadership” effect. The catch is that a314 may also actually widen the gulf between people if they feel “unworthy” of you. Tricky stuff. Shine could spark a “feel good” aura in yourself and in others. Try them one at a time at first to see what happens before you try to combine. ---

Welcome Maxim! [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) is a great product to start with. I have also seen very positive results with Instant Openess. The combo of the two seems to lighten the mood and generate conversation. Good Luck! ---

A314, Shine and Honesty. Now THAT sounds like a plan. You’ll be network engineer head honcho in no time. Shine + Honesty = deeper, fast rapport. A “one of the gang”, “who ever knew that Maxim was so damned charming!?” type of mix. Tossing a drop of A314 in there gears up this “There is something so sharp about him that I just can’t possibly put my finger on”-type of effect, and I’d think you could really go for that kind of authority, especially if you’re wanting to move up in your office. I’ve known guys who have gone from software engineer to VP with a “screw off” sign on their door after a year wearing A314… so _anything’s_ possible when you have perceived status.
