What clara means is there is a option for entering coupon codes on both the order page and the payment page. You have a Gift Certificate, You place that code, as well as your points if you choice to use them on the payment page. Its not a coupon.
Click first on pay by points and enter 500 which is what you received for joining the smartmones site. it will deduct it.
Then click Pay by Gift Certificate and enter the code. it will deduct it.
Then if there is a remainder use what ever means you would normally use to pay it and your all set.
