Hi, I saw an add in the back of Popular Mechanics a few months ago on some [Pheromone product](https://a314.com/shop/) (I don’t recall which), and I finally decided I’d check into it. I’m 50, Male, and I recently met a lady that I’d like to get to know better, which may lead to a long term relationship if possible. I’m hoping this will help a little. ---

Hey there Buckaroo, welcome to the forums! Wow, they’ve made it into Popular Mechanics? Huh. I know i’ve seen them in Esquire, but figured it was only in those kind of magazines. Hi, The first time I met this lady she was very cold. In fact the next few times I met her she always seemed to act the same, but for some reason, her personality stuck in my mind. She is short and cute, I made some changes in my appearance that eventually made some changes in her attitude where she actually started talking to me. I’m not a shy person, but I am a little shy about asking a girl out. She’s approx. 37. In one conversation with her I actually stared into her eyes for approx. 10 seconds while she was telling me about her plans for Thanksgiving. I haven’t asked her out yet, since she indicated in one of our chats that she had a boyfriend. I’m being patient and want to give her a reason to go out with me for lunch. Then I can find out more about her, and tell her more about me. ---

I stand by my original suggestions, they will help you open doors with her. You can persue her, but don’t let yourself get into the Friends Zone with her, you’ll never get out. You also want to look at Instant Honesty, it offers deeper conversations (as compared to [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/).) In fact, start out with the Honesty, it will serve you better in this instance, I feel. Make sure to read the links in my signature about what to expect and make sure to read the sticky threads in the Men’s section (learning proper dosage for your swet spot is paramount for best success), particularly the Master List of Indicators of Interest. If you’re shy, A314 won’t be a good fit. Alpha males do the approaching and don’t wait for someone to approach them. In a dating situation, you have to be congruent with A314 for it to be effective. Read the **Congruence** link in my signature to learn more. ---

Hey there Buck, Welcome to Pherotalk 🙂 I am gonna be honest with ya, this lady has a boyfriend already. That can be difficult. Pheromones can attract and arouse but they dont make us do something out of character. If she is happy with her BF she may not respond. You see she will still get the signals from the mones but humans generally have self control and certain values that are in the conscious mind. Pheromones work on the subconscious and the conscious thought will override that every time. So while the mones may cause her to have feelings it may not be enough to overcome her beliefs. This however doesn’t mean you should not try. Perhaps she was cold those few times because she is not happy with her BF and just needs something to push her into making a change.
