# Help please: Trying to turn friend to lover (gay male)

I’m a young gay guy and I have an older gay friend who I have a past sexual history with. We are close friends but and he says he isn’t attracted to me but he’s sort of ambivilent.

I’m already very approachable to him so what I really want is to perk his interest on a sexual level and perhaps inspire some extra trust as he’s naturally emotionally gaurded.

Any suggestions what to use?

In my experiences, all straight, however there are universals that affect us all… relationships, successful relating (the progressive form of the verb, experiences unfolding in time) depend, ultimately, on real points of contact… unless there are deep levels of shared understanding the relationship will only go so far… there must be basic commonalities, especially…

A. general level of energy… there more closely matched your energy levels are the better… this is highly important and so often overlooked…

B. general level of ethics… it is extremely hard to form solid connections where ethical systems don’t align. When ethical systems do align, half the work is done. For better or worse as they say.

C. general level of intellect. Strong abstract thinkers like other abstract thinkers. Concrete thinkers like concrete thinkers.

D. general level of social skill.

E. general level of taste.

F. general level of naivete or street smartness.
