I actually stumbled across this site by accident while Googling for more information about Creed’s Aventus cologne. I was curious, did a bit of research, and decided to make a pheromone purchase.

I’ve been experimenting with pheromones for about a month now, starting with TUTH and [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/). Initially I wasn’t sure how much credit I should give to the pheromones; however, considering the consistency of my results I have to admit they’re having an influence.

About myself:
I’m in my late 30s and a Ph.D./scientist working at a small biotech in a college town in the Midwest. I look a lot younger than my age, and most people think I’m in my 20’s. I was out of the dating scene for a while and just started going out again two years ago. Given my youthful appearance, and the fact that a lot of women tend to prefer older men, I don’t attract many women in my age range. In fact, most of the women I’ve dated recently have been between 21 and 30, but I have to say the 30 year old was an outlier and my average is closer to 23. I know, poor me…seriously though, as much fun as young girls can be I do miss the company of a woman my age.

Some more details… I’m short (5’7”) but with a fairly muscular build, and I exercise regularly. Personality wise I tend to view myself as introverted and reserved, maybe even distant. I certainly don’t feel that I have the life of the party vibe going on, but despite my personal-perceptions I seem to be pretty approachable. For example, if I go to a bar or coffee shop alone someone will usually strike up a conversation with me or pull me into theirs (of course this is also the Midwest where people tend to be more outgoing). Perhaps more illuminating, I’ve recently asked a few of my female friends about their first impressions of me. In general, their impressions were consistent with the fact that I tend to be reserved; however, they didn’t see me as distant. One said that although I was definitely quiet, she perceived me as someone that was centered and confident, very aware of things going on and not aloof at all, and another told me that I “sparkle”. So much for self-assessment.

Anyway, I’m primarily here out of curiosity, more of a fun, social experiment than any particular goal. I’ve already had some hits, which I’ll post elsewhere, and I’m looking forward to learning and exploring more.

Hey there and welcome!
Something that can make you stand out more and can actually help you BE more confident over time is A314. This has helped me in the last year in countless ways and is certainly one of my favorites. IO and IH are similar in making people comfortable with and around you, and IH will make people chatty sometimes too. AMMO is great for attraction and is sexual but also social so you can wear it most places and not be sending the wrong message. IS is great for almost everyone cause it makes you and those around you feel brighter and lighter and causes fun most of the time 🙂
Let me know if you have any other questions and l
let us know how things go!

Welcome to the forum, Moggio? What is your field of study? (unrelated to pheros, just curious) Empath gave a good suggestion. As a college student, I experience first-hand the scourge of insecure, hypersexual, or generally immature girls every day, so I can understand the feeling to an extent. Empath gave a great suggestions. A314 gives you a mature, high-status vibe, which scares a lot of younger girls off. Of course, it can scare older women off as well, so buffer it with IO and/or IH to make you more approachable. Same for IS. I wish you the best of luck, and hope to hear more from you!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

The guys have given you some great advice. Ammo, A314 and [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) would be great for you, as they are fantastic each on their own, and also combine well for great results. 🙂

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestions! I’ve had a lot of luck with TUTH and [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) together, and even more with the addition of Instant Honesty. I bought a To Go of Ammo, but don’t really care for it. Didn’t see hits the way I did with TUTH and Instant Openness and I don’t care much for the smell. I prefer to wear my own colognes and the neroli scent compliments them well, especially Aventus and the more oriental and gourmand fragrances which I favor.

I’ve considered buying Ammo with the neroli scent, thinking that the ff21 scent just put me off and affected my results. It’s rather difficult to give a positive impression and project confidence when you’re self-conscious about the way you smell. Most likely though, A314 will be my next purchase.

@ Vespero: I do a lot of gene/protein engineering involving directed evolution with a focus on cancer biology and gene therapy. What are you studying Vespero?

How do you like Aventus? I buy a lot of cologne samples (as my pocketbook currently doesn’t permit purchasing full bottles of high-caliber colognes) and had been considering it. The description of the notes sounds absolutely mesmerizing, but there are so many interesting-sounding scents out there that turn out to be not what I expect. I also love oriental and gourmand fragrances, as well as complex, realistic floral scents (which I unfortunately can’t really wear due to being a male, but so it goes). Any suggestions I might try on my next order?

I’m a sophomore in college studying mathematics and neuroscience. Though my family constantly attempts to push me into medicine, I am intent on doing research. However, I’m not entirely sure which direction I’ll go in research, as there is simply far too much that completely captivates me. It was hard enough to choose a major. I could easily have gone into something like music performance, art history, engineering, anything really.

I love Aventus, it’s a wonderful cologne, fresh and spicy at the same time. The pineapple tends to linger for me, which is terrific. I bought a 5 mL sample from the Perfumed Court a month ago and I’m almost out, so I’m only wearing it on weekends now. It also goes great with pheromones. I get many more compliments on the way I smell with the Aventus + TUTH + [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) combo than with Aventus or TUTH + Instant Openness alone. I was talking to this one girl at a local wine tasting a couple of weeks ago when she suddenly leaned in close…I’m thinking she didn’t hear what I had just said, so I repeated it. She says, “No, no I heard you, but someone smells fabulous and I just wanted to make sure it was you!” Anyway, it is very pricey at $140 for 30 ml (pheromones are so much cheaper by comparison!) but I will get more.

I’m not a huge Creed fan in general, though I do like Erolfa and Silver Mountain Water. On the cheaper side I like Polo Double Black, which is quite affordable and a smooth, creamy, oriental scent great for the Midwest winter. Pricier niche scents I enjoy are Musc Ravageur and L’Air du Desert Marocain. Musc Ravageur can be very heavy though so I typically reserve it for the coldest of the winter months, might not fly in Louisiana. 😉

If you like florals, I find Fleurs de Sel by Miller Harris to be very wearable, though somewhat lacking in projection. It’s probably my favorite floral scent. Reminds me of camping on the beach, waking up in the early dawn to the remnants of a camp fire…lines of beach grass…hills rising above the beach spotted with wildflowers and the air cold and salt sharp. Very nice.

I also like New York by Parfums de Nicolai but I don’t wear it often; it has a very specific vibe and a little goes a long way. One of my female friends said it smells like testosterone and money. Definitely not a casual scent, but I have worn it to clubs. Whenever I put it on though I feel like I should be sitting in a boardroom. Might go well with A314.

As you say, there are so many interesting fragrances out there…what are your favorites?

Hey Moggio and welcome to the forum. I’m attempting to catch up for Mickaelia who is quite a bit behind on introduction GC’s, but I do see you already issued yours to your email. I guess all that’s left to do is a quick greeting and let you know while some things are a bit hectic, normally everything is pretty smooth around here. I apologize fort the delay in a personal greeting, but I am glad I was able to come around and welcome you myself. If there is anything I can do to help you along on your [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/) journey I will glad to assist.

If you would, please select a members answer who you believe helped you the best.
