I am a 33 year old male living in Edmonton Alberta. I remember seeing advertisements for the “Athena institute” products in the back of one of my favorite magazines for many years, and I’ve always wondered if such a product could really work. I never really wanted to send money to find out; it looked a bit shady and I am not a rich man. In the last few years I’ve really become interested in some scientific research that is not popularly accepted. I think pheromones fall into this same category – not understood but obviously a huge impact on many animals including humans. I did some searching and found many positive comments (and some negative ones) on various forums and online shops in the last week. I’ve decided that I might as well try and pick a few interesting products and see what happens. It’s not really much more money than normal cologne, so worst case I end up with an expensive girlfriend and am broke forever 😛 Here is what I bought last week: Alter Ego for Men Boxed Diesel for Men Chikara [Pheromone Cologne](https://a314.com/shop/) for Men Liquid Trust Pheromones Primal Instinct Unscented for Men Scent of Eros Pheromones for Men 2 bottles of AMMO Cologne (2x) 3 bottles of PherX for men (alcohol based) I only received the AMMO so far, it smells pretty good to me. I tried it this morning but was with guys 90% of the time so not much chance to gauge the effects. Anyways, I am supposed to ask a question or two. I am wondering if you guys think two 18 year olds (male + female) would attract each other with their natural pheromones, or does it seem more likely that the female would be scared away? I wonder if there’s any evidence of guys being scared away by 18 year old girls? LOL it should really work both ways, but somehow I just can’t see it. ---

Eighteen-year olds on full-bore can be very scary indeed to us older guys. Waaay too much energy and drama! 😮😛😃 But more or less, you are on the the right idea - Women in their teens/very early 20s tend to go for a more balanced and slightly social-heavy signature compared to older women (mid 20s is when things begin to change) but you can get the odd exception at any age. However, guys of the same age tend to be producing their maximum levels of Androstenone - the main sexual phero, so it is quite easy for them to project the overly horny/sexually oppressive vibe with just their natural signature. Normally we suggest they stick to something more social/status in order to round-out their appeal and not come-off like a waddling cock. By your thirties, yes you are producing a lot less Androstenone and are able to augment and use it more effectively. So you have a good range of pheros to choose from there and many are reasonably well balanced or can be steered in different ways to make them more usable around different people. [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/) is a good balanced product, suitable for a wide range of situations and around a wide range of people. In this respect, Alter Ego is a very similar product in composition but with a higher sexual proportion and a long-lasting oil base. Ammo and PI together would be one for the clubs/mature women. Chikara is a more complex social/sexy product that seems to deliver its best around younger women/party situations but could be sexualised more effectively with Primal Instinct - Which needs a scent to work well. SOE is a very useful social/status mix and briliant for young guys as it contains no-None. An older guy could use Ammo, Alter Ego or Primal Instinct alongside it around different ages/situations effectively. I’ve not use/don’t know the rest and you really don’t want me to go-off on one about what I think of PherX! 😉 ---
